cb126405's TOP HIP HOP SINGLES

Danny! Danny! - “Keep Your Head To The Sky”

“Already decided on a 4 star within the first 10 seconds of the track, and will happily admit that. Z and Nate point it out, the throwback feel keeps it smooth especially with that hook. Danny! went out of the box on this one, and people will remember the name because of it! (pun intended on the !)”

Hands On The Wheel Promo Photo ScHoolboy Q - “Hands On The Wheel”

“Dope sample, this one goes hard. A high energy party record that will get people talking for sure. ScHoolboy and Rocky have great chemistry on the track, really feelin this.”

Skeleton (Yeah Yeah Yeahs Remix) Promo Photo Terence Ryan - “Skeleton (Yeah Yeah Yeahs Remix)”

“The type of genre-crossover, out-of-the-box attempt that will get a standing ovation from me almost every time. This is no exception - Terrence was a genius with this one, flow was serious and he blended perfectly with the redone beat. Speaking of that beat, damn. That's all. Damn.”

Cool to Touch Promo Photo Thad Reid - “Cool to Touch”

“Thad came with a purpose on this one; a smooth lyrical frenzy that flows like a waterfall. This is one R&B feature on the hook (singing instead of rapping) from being a radio connection.”

Popped Off Promo Photo T.I. - “Popped Off”

“Been waiting for the finished version of this track since T.I. demo version dropped a couple of years ago, then the Dr Pepper commercial threw another tease in there. But now that it's finally here I can say it was worth the wait. It's a shame that Dre's Detox delay will only get this track on a TI mixtape, but a damn near classic in my opinion with vintage Dre production and flows that can't be duplicated.”

cb126405's TOP ALBUMS

Relapse Promo Photo Eminem - “Relapse”

“I'll keep this as short and sweet as possible. This album was a lot more impressive than I originally imagined it would be. I knew Dre's hot production would be there, but the lyrics on here are ridiculous! I'm beyond surprised that Em still has this much F'd up $hit to say after all of these years, LOL! I will say, the album kind of followed a pattern. The beginning started off very strong, with tracks like 'Insane' and 'Bagpipes from Bahgdad' and then kind of dropped off in the middle with tracks like 'Medicine Ball.' However, it picked up again towards the end with ones like 'Crack a Bottle' and 'Beautiful'. So you see the trend - strong, good, and strong again. I'm still saying Marshal Mathers LP was his best album, but this was better than Encore. Overall easy 4 star album. I think he's got 2 more solid singles on his hands with 'Old Times Sake' and 'Beautiful', possibly even a third.”

808's & Heartbreak Promo Photo Kanye West - “808's & Heartbreak”

“Can't even put into words, the album speaks for itself. Kanye CANNOT sing, but you know what??? It's not about that. Listen to the orchestra of production blended with emotion and TRUTH, this album is a classic in its own element. This one cannot be compared to anything else out right now, or anything else that will probably ever come out. I wish I had more to say but I'm just at a loss for words. Amazing masterpiece!”

Year Of The Gentleman Promo Photo Ne-Yo - “Year Of The Gentleman”

“Been waiting on this album for a long time, so I wanted to listen to it thouroughly before I gave a rating. I listened to this album yesterday and today, and I gotta say, it is amazing. This is by far the best R&B album we've heard since Confessions, every song is different and has a message. It's an overall beginning to end experience, I enjoy every single track on the album. Ne-Yo really stepped his game up here, you can see the maturity. I have to give this album a 5/5 because it's honestly something that I will listen to for a very long time and compare every R&B album from now on to this one. Great job.”
