I think last time since Rihanna was just transforming from the good girl to the bad one, she kept the music very "poppy" to still appeal to the fans that loved her then. This time around, Rihanna IS that bad girl and she's able to say stuff like "I'm such a f****n lady". I think she's really coming into her own and she should be relevant for many years.
