-Dre's TOP HIP HOP SINGLES

Boat Check In (Otis) [Freestyle] Promo Photo Skyzoo - “Boat Check In (Otis) [Freestyle]”

“Skyzoo killed it; I think it was a very intelligent move to set his voice higher than the beat because the beat can easily over-power you. YE & Jay really didn't set the bar all that high to begin with, wouldn't be surprised to see Lil' Wayne destroy them.”

Phene Phene - “Out Of My Way”

“I like the hook, I think it could've been more impactful with a soulful vocalist of some sort but the whole package is awesome. It is for now a 4.25 but with a soulful vocalist (shouts out to Novel) it's a certified classic.”

So Long Promo Photo Mike Dreams - “So Long”

“If I was a record company exec, this would be sign-sealed-and delivered. This was flamez. So much growth but still organic Mike Dreams.”

Das Racist Das Racist - “Speakin' in Tungs (Freestyle)”

“I sometimes like left field, and thus I'm feeling this ish -- I think it's funny but at the same time the flows are hot and the produx is suiting. I will also go as far to co-sign Burmy - I think Tyga in some likes Kanye West (maybe this is a stretch -- but I said it) is also a good example of this.”

Statistics Promo Photo Lyfe Jennings - “Statistics”

“I am not a big R&B dude but I gots to say this song is a fresh breath of air. It has the passion a lot of new age R&B songs are lacking IMO.”

-Dre's TOP ALBUMS

Paper Trail Promo Photo T.I. - “Paper Trail”

“If this sheds any light...this is the first album I've bought in the last 3 years because this so far is my favorite of 2008 and prithee to this album I was far from a T.I. fan but I think yo boy's a convert. Michael Hannah and Nate both excellent reviews I must say though that Weezy was definitely number two on S.L.U without a doubt and it's unfortunate that L.A.X wasn't anywhere close to the rawness or completeness of this album. Here's to Jay and to the others droppin albums to close out a year that has been very memorable in hip-hop.”
