85south's TOP HIP HOP SINGLES

Ludacris Ludacris - “Call Up The Homies ft. The Game & Willy Northpole”

“Another banger from Ludacris. Clinton Sparks puts down some crazy production! I'm not that familiar with Northpole but he sounded good on this. 2008 has been a hot year for Hip Hop so far and Theater of the Mind is going to be another album to add to the list of great projects released this year. 4/5 stars.”

Akon Akon - “I'm So Paid (Video Version) ft. Young Jeezy & Lil' Wayne”

“Great track from Akon. Can't wait for the new album! Weezy and Jeezy compliment this track perfectly. I wish DJBooth would start featuring music videos! 4/5 stars.”

T.I. T.I. - “Live Your Life ft. Rihanna”

“Once again, great track from TI. This track blends so well and has a mass appeal. I think it is going to create even more buzz for the already highly anticipated new album. Look out, cause "Live Your Life" is headed straight to the top! 5/5”

B.o.B B.o.B - “I'll Be in the Sky”

“This is my jam right here. B.o.B. has real talent. The thing that pisses me off is the artists like soldier boy who make records with NO substance or meaning, and become rich and famous. Like Z said, this guy wrote, produced, and arranged this entire track! Yet, he won't get close to crank dat on the charts or make half the money soldier boy made. I understand different styles for different people, so I'm telling all the 'True Hip-Hop' fans out there that we need to support these artists by actually buying their albums - not just downloading them for free.”

Kanye West Kanye West - “Love Lockdown”

“The track is very unique. I'm definitely feelin it. As for the autotune, I like Kanye's quote from his blog "if you don't like autotune... too bad cause I love it and have been using it since the College Dropout!!!" Once again, Kanye doesn't give a damn what anybody else thinks. Some of my favorite songs of Kanyes are the ones that don't make it mainstream. In my opinion, this is what makes him a great artist.”
