Stevie Crooks - Cashmere Killer
“Still repping the Golden Era sound of Hip Hop. "Product of the 90's - '95 I'm rappin" - So for anyone thinking he too old school, it's obviously on purpose. The music complements this style of rapping great, though I do wish there would be at least a few Bangers, production-wise. He obviously even takes an old school (minimalistic) approach to recording. Overall, definitely car riding music. Or get-in-the-vibe earbud music. Wouldn't expect to hear it on the radio or at a club, but I don't think Stevie Crooks expects that either. I also appreciate the original music, CSTC mixtape was all jack4beats style. Honestly I think I like his mixtape Diamonds & Guns a bit more. Haven't listened to WINE mixtape... but somehow think that would be my favorite... Overall, I think the hooks were a bit better on D&G's also. But once again, another solid project by Stevie Crooks.
