Emilio Rojas - “The Letter”
““it’s corporations reporting a false prophet / product of product placement of course we go all copin” Risky, but I admire the honesty in the record. Shit, I tell people I’m not religious and they look at me like I have 2 heads. ESPECIALLY when you come from a Latino family. At times the concepts in Emilio’s records are repetitive and half-assed, but this was definitely not one of them. What I like about Emilio Rojas is that he uses all different styles and concepts (mainstream sound, cognizant lyrics, etc..). Miles Davis played like Charlie Parker and Dizzy until he finally developed his own unique style. Emilio seems to be following the same steps. OH... and at 2:48 that was dope "I wanna break bread with the sinners and the saints" and then an even darker tone moves in and then moves out. The frustration dwindles and then works it way back up to the dominant tone of the record.. Well done.” shydagger's Rating:
