Odd Future (OFWGKTA) - “The Odd Future Tape Vol. 2”

“This album (my apologies) mixtape absolutely made me become a bigg fan of Odd Future. Each and every track, for the most part is completely different from the mainstream rap community we are all expected to relate to. From Analog 2 with Syd tha Kid, Tyler and Frank Ocean... a crazy rap, synth, indie ballad to a girl which eerily leaves you mesmerized and completely relaxed and with almost 12 seconds of total silence keeps you on your toes. After the 2nd listen to the song you will fall in love. To Sam (is dead) with arguably one of the best flows of Domo Genesis and some of the best production from Tyler himself has almost the same effect as Analog 2 but strangely showcases the lyrical prowess of another member besides Tyler. And finally Oldie which heralds the return of possibly one of the dopest new rappers in the game (often compared to a younger Nas) Earl Sweatshirt to OF and highlighting the rap prowess of the entire collective into a finale somewhat reminiscent of Last Call at the end of College Dropout. The Odd Future Tape Vol. 2 is definitely one of the best albums (apologies again) mixtapes of this year. OF has made a new fan out of me, and given one of the weird nerdy kids something to relate to. I assure you the fan base will keep on going as the "Indie-Rap" of the collective improves. They're Awesome - Golf Wang btw listen to the album a couple of times before judging it because it is clear that the review above could have been better.”
