E. Jaffe's TOP ALBUMS

Common - “Universal Mind Control”
“I'm kind of biased towards this one because I saw Common in concert with N*E*R*D two months ago and he killed this album live. Personally, I'm really feeling his new music. Sure, the album has some weak tracks (Note: Sugar 4 Sex is CRAZY live. The album version really disappointed me) but most albums do. Anyways, Common has well-cemented his status as one of the best alive so as long as he continues to make music, I'm happy to have him around.” E. Jaffe's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Ludacris - “Theater Of The Mind”
“Thank you Nathan for being someone who realizes Luda's talent. I too have been telling people for years about how insanely lyrical he is and no one can take me seriously. This is by far Luda's best yet and he will always remain in my top 5 for the remainder of his career. Don't download this people! Buy it!” E. Jaffe's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

John Legend - “Evolver”
“Legend is the most musically gifted artist in R&B music today. I have enjoyed all 3 major label CD's in his catalogue and consider each individual album a classic. It's too bad he can't get the recognition he deserves. Anyways, I stack this album about tied with Get Lifted and a bit better than Once Again. Either way, all in all, this is a classic.” E. Lil Wayne - “Tha Carter III”
“Great album but definitely not a classic. I wouldn't even consider it the best of the year actually (that would go to UGK's undeniably great "Underground Kingz" album) This album has its moments but it simply doesn't live up to the hype. Lil' Wayne is a great rapper but he's being crushed under all the expectations he has set for himself. If you go around calling yourself "the greatest rapper alive" than your album is expected to follow up on that statement; which C3 does not. My recommendation to Wayne is to stop being so cocky. If I had been expecting anything less than perfection than I may have considered this near-classic but unfortunately that's not the case. Look out for Ludacris' "Theater of the Mind". With guest spots from Kanye West, John Legend, Eminem, Lupe Fiasco, Q-Tip, T.I. and others I have high-hopes that it can be the biggest album of '08.” E. Jaffe's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Raheem DeVaughn - “Love Behind the Melody”
“^^^^^Yeah, sorry about my last comment, I was just trying to make a statement. Anyways, about the album, it is great. I wouldn't consider him one of the best R&B artists out now, he's no John Legend, but if he keeps dropping albums as consistent as this one than I expect good things for him in the future. Solid album.” E. Jaffe's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
