J Roc the Legend's TOP HIP HOP SINGLES

Over Promo Photo Drake - “Over”

“Had to give this a few days for it to grow on me. Now that I have I think it's really good, although it's not his best. It's a decent first single, especially if he was trying to not do the typical "party" single as his first track. He has some good lines and the hook is pretty addictive. The beat is pretty cool, but I've heard better from Boi1da. Drake brings out the best in it, though.”

More Promo Photo Usher - “More”

“This track had potential. It would be a cool addition to the clubs for sure. It was probably missing a good rap verse or something and thats what kept it from being a 5-star song. Other than that, though. I think Usher brought some great energy. RedOne has been doing great beats, getting a lot of praise after his work with Lady Gaga.”

The-Dream The-Dream - “Love King”

“This is raw!!! Its so good to hear The-Dream back on! This track is more of the same, but its still fresh! Nobody's doin it like The-Dream and his producers. LOS Da Mystro has always been a good beatmaker for The-Dream. Pretty much all of their collaborations are catchy. Can't wait to hear the album!”

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Bone Thugs-N-Harmony - “Vegas”

“The beat is really cool, and that's wat makes this song for me personally. I've never been a fan of bone thugs but this song is pretty cool. I applaud them for stepping out of their comfort zone. I'm mainly excited about te beat though. I could totally hear that poppin off in the clubs”

Lloyd Banks Lloyd Banks - “Beamer, Benz or Bentley”

“Definitely a banger! This track has got a sick beat! Lloyd Banks is finally back to doin the tracks he's good at. My boy Juelz is stealin the show tho! Can't wait to hear some more tracks and guest features with Juelz!”

Lil Freak Promo Photo Usher - “Lil Freak”

“The beat is sick to me! Definitely something different for Usher which is what he needs right now. Putting Nikki Minaj on here adds a whole nother dimension to this song. I think she does on everything song I've heard her on. This may be a good R&B hit. I think he needs a catchier poppier hit tho before he drops the album”

Trey Songz Trey Songz - “I Invented Sex (Remix)”

“This is way better than the original. Just proves that Trey has a ways to go before he can do it like usher and Keri hilson. They both had great vocals, especially Keri. They know how to make a song their own. Maybe i just don't like his style but the song went downhill when Trey came on. Still a banger tho!”

50 Cent 50 Cent - “Do You Think About Me”

“I like the r&b vibe of the album and I think it's a good single choice. It's probably the best single choice after Baby By Me. I was definitely playing it in my car for a while.”

Drake Drake - “Best I Ever Had”

“Great single choice for Drake! Im real happy for this talented cat. Every song he's coming out with has real good rhymes. He's so consistent from what I've heard. His last mixtape was pretty sick and I can't wait to hear his album.”

Diddy
Diddy - “Diddy Bop ft. Xplicit & Yung Joc”

“Call me biased, but I say this song is a banger! I would be diddy boppin in the club if this came on! Diddy and Yung Joc came wit some cool rhymes and the beat on this is pretty sick!”

50 Cent 50 Cent - “I Get It In”

“I can't believe that this is just 3 stars so far! This is sick! Dr. Dre is back! That bass along wit that indian flute is an addictive combo! The only reason I don't give it a 5 is cause 50 could've came wit a better hook. I hope this is on the album.”

Lil Wayne Lil Wayne - “Prom Queen”

“After a few listens, this song is super sick! The instrumentals are great and the autotune is addictive, especially on the chorus! I can't imagine it being very good live, tho, since he obviously cant sing anything like that. This song has been all over my ipod for the past couple of days. I really want to hear what he does with the album. Great stuff, Weezy!”

Bobby V Bobby V - “Beep (Remix) ft. Ludacris, Lil' Kim & Lil Wayne”

“What a great remix to a great song! Ludacris killed it on his verse! It's nice to hear that Lil' Kim is still around, but she would've been better off without the autotune. Lil' Wayne was ok, but im kinda getting over that thing he does with his voice that makes it all lispy. When he does that I can't even tell what he's saying. His verse would've been better to me if his voice was clearer. I've heard the original like a hundred times now, tho, and the beat is still hot! "Beep" might be one of my favorite songs of all time! The remix would've been better with more Bobby V, tho. Still a hot remix to freshen it up!”

Ludacris Ludacris - “Nasty Girl ft. Plies”

“This was my 2nd favorite song from the album (the 1st being "One More Drink"). I love the synth-heavy production from Swizz Beatz. It sounds like something the Neptunes would do. He should do it more often. Ludacris sounds great as usual on these types of tracks. Plies surprisingly had a great, smooth flow to compliment the beat. It was smooth, but still wit that Plies-like edge. Nice club banger for the ladies.”

Busta Rhymes Busta Rhymes - “Arab Money (Remix) ft. Various Artists”

“This songs knocks in the car and in the clubs! The hook is the best part! Sounds like some middle eastern dude yelling! "OOOHH! We GETTIN' ARAB MONEY!!!" lol. Diddy's verse was cool cause of the little throwback to the All About the Benjamins" beat. The rest of the verses were cool as well, but I think T-Pain and Weezy would've actually been better spittin without the autotune. Much better than the original!”
