J Roc the Legend's TOP HIP HOP SINGLES

Flo Rida - “Good Feeling”
“I knew I had to give this one some time to grow and it already has started. I definitely feel like this will hit on radio. I like the dubstep breakdown towards the end, but overall this is just more pop-rap that only Flo Rida could come up with. Goes right along with the rest of his work” J Roc the Legend's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The Throne - “Lift Off”
“Gets 4 stars from me. The production and Beyonce's vocals are amazing. And the repeated "Lift Off!" in the background is the finisher that gets the song stuck in my head. I do agree that The Throne was pretty underwhelming on the song, especially Kanye. I feel like if Kanye had stepped it up and/or Jay-Z got more bars in on the song, it would've been a truly classic track.” J Roc the Legend's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Lil Wayne - “6 Foot 7 Foot”
“This song is crazy! I'm surprised that anybody was hating on this at all! Seems like this is what everyone wanted from him when he was doin the auto-tune thing. I've been playin this since it came out and I still will. Weezy blew my mind with this one like I always knew he could. I hope the new CD is him rapping more like this because this is better than any track on Tha Carter 3. As for Cory Gunz, I would not have put him on here. Not because he was bad (since he was really good), but I can hardly take in what Lil Wayne just did. No rapper could ever follow what Weezy did on this track!” J Roc the Legend's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

DJ Khaled - “I'm on One”
“Definitely one of the best songs DJ Khaled has ever released. The beat is sick, Drake's hook and verse is on, Rick Ross had a good flow on his verse. Lil' Wayne's verse was surprisingly unimpressive. He didn't seem like he was really into it. Definitely gonna get played all through the summer!” J Roc the Legend's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Jason Derulo - “Don't Wanna Go Home”
“This song will be a hit. People remember that beat and the hook is pretty catchy. I already heard it on the radio last night actually. I kinda know that it'll grow on me personally. By the time summer is in full swing this will be getting so overplayed.” J Roc the Legend's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Miguel - “Sure Thing”
“Very soulful stuff from Miguel here. We don't get to hear much of this on radio anymore. I really likes this song, but I don't see it getting too crazy on radio. Just doesn't follow with the mainstream these days. Probably goes for the rest of his songs as well. That's ok, though. Miguel can definitely develop a core fan base with the direction he's going in.” J Roc the Legend's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Trey Songz - “Unusual”
“In my opinion this is one of the best songs on Passion Pain & Pleasure and probably my favorite song that Trey has ever done. I'd be surprised if this didn't make it on radio. Trey is on top of the R&B world right now. Drake is always good for radio singles. Definitely a catchy enough hook. It's gonna blow up!” J Roc the Legend's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Diddy-Dirty Money - “Your Love”
“I could totally see this one on radio and bein mixed up in clubs. Trey Songz sounds great leading off the track and then Dawn and Kalenna add their female touch to it. The beat is definitely club-worthy. The hook might be missing something to make it that Top 10 hit Diddy's lookin for tho. I hear that there's a remix comin out with Rick Ross. Maybe he can add that little extra push it needs.” J Roc the Legend's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Gucci Mane - “Haterade”
“I normally hate Gucci Mane, but this track is sick! I most likely just like it because of the Neptunes beat, which is one of their best that I've heard in a long time. I really enjoyed Nicki's verse as well. Gucci was ok on here, too, which is more than I can say for him on most of his songs. Overrall its all about the beat and Pharrell's hook, though!” J Roc the Legend's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Far East Movement - “If I Was You (OMG)”
“This is such a hot track for the clubs for sure. It's not their most adventurous of their songs, but it gets the job done. I bet it will get some radio play because of the semi catchy beat and the Snoop Dogg feature (which I don't really think was needed), but I doubt it'll be anything like Like A G6 or Rocketeer.” J Roc the Legend's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Usher - “There Goes My Baby”
“One of my favorite songs on the cd! Good move to release this as a single! Usher's vocals have never sounded better. I love the synths on the hook as well! Great song from a great cd!!!” J Roc the Legend's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Ciara - “Ride”
“This song reminds me a lot of "oh" but not quite as good. It's better than "high price" tho IMO. I'd say this Ciara going back to a sound that she knows works for her. Ludacris had an exciting guest verse on this one and Tricky and The-Dream do well on the boards as always. I don't expect this song to do as well as "oh" did, but it deserves a decent amount of radio spins.” J Roc the Legend's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Bobby V - “Stilettos & T-Shirt”
“This is a great track to include on the album at least! If it gets radio play, it'll be more because of Nicki minaj being on the song than the actual song itself. It's kinda catchy, but I agree it's not that original. "Beep" was definitely way better. I disagree with peoples opinions of Nicki minaj. I thought she was a highlight of the song. She's had better bars than on this track, but her flow was amazing. I actually have had that "jetlag" line stuck in my head for the past couple of days!” J Roc the Legend's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Omarion - “Last Night (Kinko's) (Remix)”
“The remix is just as good as the original, hella sick! It's nice to hear Omarion getting back to the smooth style that he had on songs like touch. I picture a mad hot video for this song with O's flawless dance moves. Snoops verse definitely didn't take away from the track. His vibe matched the song better than I thought it would. The piano beat is ridiculously smooth and sexy!” J Roc the Legend's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
