MakavelliThaDon's TOP ALBUMS

Normalcy Promo Photo Charles Hamilton - “Normalcy”

“I waited to review this until I got time to listen to it a couple times through. This is definately one of CH's better mixtapes. Even some of the tracks that Nathan mentioned as not up to par were pretty good. WorkinInTheLab, while the sample sounded bad, it a pretty catchy track. I think Charles kind of gets a bad name because casual observers have probably not heard another any other songs besides Brooklyn Girls, which is a shame because he definately has a lot better lyrical tracks than that. Overall, it was a good comeback mixtape and I'm lookin forward to what's comin next from CH”

Man on the Moon: The End of the Day Promo Photo Kid CuDi - “Man on the Moon: The End of the Day”

“This is a great album, but it is not for everybody. For the people that are looking for crazy punchlines, you will definately be disappointed. But he does a great job of story telling and you can feel the emotions in his songs. There really is not a bad song on it. The space theme is kind of cool and there are some great tracks such as Solo Dolo, Soundtrack 2 my Life & Pursuit of Happiness. Its not quite a classic, but its definately top 5 albums released this year so far. I'll give it a 4.5”

Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II Promo Photo Raekwon - “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II”

“Straight up classic album. Cannot go wrong with an album like this. House of Flying Daggers is a classic, especially with the J. Dilla beat. Raekwon has all the classic Wu features on this album, plus I love the track Broken Safety with Jada & SP the Ghost.”

Blackout! 2 Promo Photo Method Man & Redman - “Blackout! 2”

“Wow, not much love for Meth & Red. Theres about 100 posts on Relapse. I really liked this album. There really isnt a bad song on it. There are some songs that are unispired or boring, but overall, its a good album. 4 Minutes to Lockdown, City Lights, Dis Iz 4 all my Smokers, and Errbody Scream are the best songs on the album. Fathers Day and Hey Zulu are good as well. Definately more of an old school sounding album but thats what i like about it. 4.5 overall”

The Last Kiss Promo Photo Jadakiss - “The Last Kiss”

“Though it might not be a "classic" this album is much better than Kiss of Death. There are more tracks that stick with you. While KOD's singles (why & Time's Up) were better than By My Side & Cant stop me, the supporting songs are better on The Last Kiss. He has a good mix of deep songs (Smoking Gun, What If, Things I've been Through) along with enough gansta songs to keep the listeners who like the grimy stuff happy (One More Step, Death Wish, Come & Get me, Somthing Else)”
