Kid CuDi - “Man on the Moon: The End of the Day”
“Cudi's album was good to me. From start to finish I think he achieved that dream goal he was shooting for. There was no gun talk, no killings, just pure life. The album felt like it had a lot of meaning to it and gave a chance to enter Cudi's dreams. I agree with the self pity on it. His lyrics should have covered a more broad horizon. Instead of being stuck on topics covered on most of the dark tracks on there. Personally, im feelin that aspect that cudi can reveal himself through his lyrics and holds nothing back. But I can see people listening to A Kid Named Cudi then coming to this and are disappointed by nearly every track pitying upon himself. Overall, I do think the self pity is something only Cudi can pull off as its always been his personality. But for his fans he has to do more light, upbeat songs because pitying himself may be coo for this album but on his next, he has to move on and vary topics to rap about. Love the album personally, but I can see the how donjon and certain people can get irritated by the self pity content. And im hoping the next album has some upbeat tracks like the mixtape.” sightRIZE's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Brother Ali - “Us”
“The undisputed truth goes harder in my opinion. But this is nonetheless a work of quality. Brother Ali's lyrics and voice are just overpowering.” sightRIZE's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Ghostface Killah - “Ghostdini: The Wizard of Poetry in the Emerald City”
“Solid album, to be honest I never thought ghost could pull off a r&b album. But he did a pretty good job of changing his image from the regular Wu way. I actually hope Wu doesn't make another album. All the solo Wu projects after 8 diagrams have been more on point than the album itself. Could be interesting to see what kinda stuff comes from Wu if they miraculously end their problems. Anyhow, all we need is Rae, Ghost, Meth&GZA; to keep it comin.” sightRIZE's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Skyzoo - “The Salvation”
“Skyzoo's lyrics are on point once again. The productions are done to a high quality. Definitely above his mixtapes. But I still feel with his lyrical abilities, he can achieve a lot more as his career progresses.” sightRIZE's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Fashawn - “Boy Meets World”
“Its an amazing album, but I do agree with Nathan about the own style aspect. But still a great debut album nonetheless. It'll be in my rotation for a while.” sightRIZE's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Jake One - “White Van Music”
“Really good album but there was no clear consistency between the tracks, which made the album seem rushed. A great producer but should have spent more time with this one. Great listen nonetheless. By the way Nathan's right on underrated, he has worked with the best artists and groups such as De La Soul. Enough said to get me to listen.” sightRIZE's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
