-Dre's TOP HIP HOP SINGLES

Wale Wale - “Letter”

“John Mayer works well here but honestly he is completely and totally forgettable. If his name wasn't on here I don't know that anyone would care who the singer contribution was by. On another note I love the realness here and its a pretty nice lil track.”

Lil Wayne Lil Wayne - “Run this Town [Freestyle]”

“Since someone else decided to make the Joell Ortiz v. Wayne comparison I have to say to the contrary that Weezy when he is like this is untouchable. He has better breath control and he rides the beat impeccably. Weezy for me made me forget towards the middle that this was a Jay-Z song and made me forget this was a freestyle. The same couldn't be said for Mr. Ortiz even though he still spat flamez.”

Mike Posner Mike Posner - “Drug Dealer Girl (Remix)”

“I think I like the remix better, only because the original gets a tad bit repetitive.”

Substantial Substantial - “The W.W.K.Y.A. Tour”

“Coronary - you got a hell of a point but its not just music it's everything in society now. The Lowest Common Denominator appears to be the target of so many things that for us of higher intelligence it's making us slip more and more towards being within the L.C.D. As to the song fiyuh.”

J. Cole J. Cole - “Lights Please”

“I feel like the chorus should be given to a Jamaican, don't ask me why I just feel like it bring this a step closer to classic status. I also feel like I'd like to hear a few verses from Kardinal Offishall -- now I know I'm crazy.”

I Can Transform Ya Promo Photo Chris Brown - “I Can Transform Ya”

“Here I was thinkin Swizzy didn't have any original beatz left in him. I was DEAD WRONG; this is fire. I can't hate on using a franchise to make money...everyone seems to be using DBZ these days, some use Sega (Mr. Hamilton), it's been done for years. Air Force ones comes to mind, Patron, etc. Commercialism in music will always be a staple I think. Sometimes it's used distastefully or even foolishly but here we have a pretty good ex. Weezy was hot I thought I would've heard more of Chris Brown being his song though.....”

Al Gator Al Gator - “Feelin It”

“Here's how it goes; Young Son - Tha diner > Al Gator - feelin It > Drake - Juice.”

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Bone Thugs-N-Harmony - “D.O.A. [Freestyle]”

“If I had never heard the Slaughterhouse D.O.A freestyle this would be number 1 but with that said; both are fiyuh, the interesting thing to me since the whole D.O.A. craze I've seen a lot less garbage music. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough for it or maybe Hip-Hop is truly experiencing it's renaissance. One thing is for certain auto-tune should be left up to a select few... I've never heard Drake sound bad on it, nor Jamie Foxx or for that matter anyone who can truly sing... Kanye has had a few misses and don't get me started on Lil' Wayne.”

Drake Drake - “Forever”

“Eminem just ripped this harder than pretty much all the tracks on his own last album, real talk. E1 came correct, my only slight gripe was the production felt a bit under-stated (forgettable even) for a line-up of this caliber.”

Mann Mann - “Text”

“It's mainstream but Mann's flow is much better than Soldier Boy see "Kiss me through the Phone" which I'm reminded of; which is a double-edged sword. It may help with popularity or it could hurt because it's a "rip-off". Well not really but the subject is similar and the subject matter obviously isn't insightful but mainstream doesn't care about that....now do they...unfortunately.”

Joe Budden Joe Budden - “We Outta Here”

“Joell Ortiz..."damN", the beat was ridiculous, the auto-tune didn't take away from anything. There have only been a couple songs I haven't liked from this crew and everything else has been flamez to the point that I can't even remember those tracks.”

Willy Northpole
Willy Northpole - “Garbage Disposal 3 ”

“I'm nothing less than impressed, the production was unique (even being a sample) and those were some serious bars. As I've thought and seldom said if you're not going to rap fast you had better come with some punchlines and dope lyrical content. "Put my middle finger in the envelope and send it"..."Once the bridge is burned there is no rewinding dat." And the D.O.A. line come on; this could his classic status in a few yrs.”

Bossman Bossman - “Off the Record (Pt. 2)”

“Never heard of dude before but it don't even matter. Truth is truth and I believe that is what we have here. Raw emotion thrown into a Mic and pouring out the speakers.”

K. Sparks K. Sparks - “Identity Crisis”

“Sparks is one of the most ridiculous dudes doing anything at the moment. I mean not just his ability but his creativity is enlightening to Hip Hop's future.”

Krizz Kaliko Krizz Kaliko - “Misunderstood”

“Yah the entire time I listened; I couldn't help to think of Cee-Lo Green; the flow, the vocals and the interesting production. As BDF pointed out it isn't as unique as some are quick to point out...It's still hot but he may go from being in Tech's shadow to tugging on Cee-Lo's coattails.”
