HoamBoy's TOP HIP HOP SINGLES

All Black Everything Promo Photo Lupe Fiasco - “All Black Everything”

“Only Lupe can pull of a song like this. To even come up with the concept is incredible. From the Civil War refrences to Malcom X becoming Malcom Little. This is like near genius, I take that back. Lupe is the genius.”

Travis Barker Travis Barker - “City of Dreams”

“It's a relief to hear Pusha back to his raw style and with partner in crime Malice. Both of them sounded dope and Kobe's hook topped it off. Travis can make a hell of a beat. The switch in the production from the verse to the hook was great. I need to check out the album.”

Space Bound Promo Photo Eminem - “Space Bound”

“Yes my favorite song off Recovery. This is kind of slow since No Love was released back in the fall but but better late then never. Great lyrics and Jim Jonsin's production is amazing but I can't get over that hook. I don't even know half of what's being said but damn it's catchy. Another hit for Em.”

Words I Never Said Promo Photo Lupe Fiasco - “Words I Never Said”

“Great record. Even with a mainstream producer and Skylar's hook made for radio, Lupe speaks his mind and doesn't hold back. He might not get a hit single off the album but his fans are loyal enough that they'll support him anyways.”

Castle Walls Promo Photo T.I. - “Castle Walls”

“Not a surprise that this is the next single, after Em's sucess with Love the Way You Lie, it only makes sense to release this. It's also just a great song too. Alex's production was top notch, Christina's hook is golden and Tip spit some serious emotion in his verses. One of the only few songs on the album when he wasn't bragging about his sex game. Sidebar: I heard that All She Wrote replaced this as the next single. Guess we'll see.”

Saigon Saigon - “Clap”

“Great record. I loved Faith's vocals and Just and Saigon always make a great pair. It's about damn time his album is finally seeing the light day.”

H.A.M. Promo Photo Kanye West - “H.A.M.”

“Holly s**t! This song is crazy. First of all the production was nuts. Lex did his thing and you can hear Kanye's influence with the opera and piano in it but that totally upgraded it from what it would of probalby been. Kanye though was a complete dissapointment. He sounded lazy and his flow was off. Jay on the other hand went hard. Loved that "baby's money" line, who knows if it was aimed at Lil Wayne or Birdman but as arrogant as they both are they needed it! The album is going to be some mind blowing sh*t. Watch the throne!”

Lay It Down Part II (Tribute to the Legends) Promo Photo Lloyd - “Lay It Down Part II (Tribute to the Legends)”

“Wow I would of never guessed that someone like Patti Labelle would do a remix to this. But hell it works. Great chemistry between the two.”

Rick Ross Rick Ross - “Black Man's Dream”

“A nice banger right here. This is could be more of Luda's song than Ricky's. The production was nice from Boi, certain parts of it reminds me of Luda's song "Money Maker" though, but still dope nonetheless. Also the hook is crazy, the best part of the song.”

Kush Promo Photo Dr. Dre - “Kush”

“Not at my expectations but close. I could of pictured this on 2001 but since that was back in '99 and it's 2010, about to be '11, this feels outdated. Only since I was expecting something more advanced from the last time. Overrall still dope, instead of Akon though I would of prefered Nate Dogg. Dre and Snoop still got it though.”

T.I. T.I. - “Welcome to the World”

“The minute this came on you could hear that 808's feel to it. Also like "Live Fast, Die Young" which even though it was a Rick Ross song, it felt like a Kanye one. This is the same thing but nonetheless dope. T.I. should of spit another verse but everything else was great. Nice verse from Tip and Ye, a banging beat from Ye and I.D., and cool hook from CuDi.”

Kanye West Kanye West - “That's My B*tch”

“Another dope record from Jay and Ye. Love Q-Tip's production as well. It's going to be intresting to see how people will react to this.”

“Nowadys only would Cee-Lo do a song like this...and could as well. Who else could pull this off????”

SLR (Super Lupe Rap) Promo Photo Lupe Fiasco - “SLR (Super Lupe Rap)”

“Nothing to be said other than that Lupe is the sh*t. I loved how he put some aggresion and energy in the song, but kept it still intelligent. I wasn't so crazy about the production but it didn't really the song from how dope it is.”
