Lil Wayne - “Tha Carter III”
“Solid review Nathan, I totally agree. Not a classic by any means. Its a strong album though. I had to say I loved Swizzy's production on "Dr. Carter", concept is strong there too, "Phone Home" was actually pretty tight, very unique and banging, "Tie My Hands" is sooo smooth, especially with Thicke. I thought "Mr. Carter" was pretty good, both having a lyrical slugfest. Have to say the review was pretty much on point. Anybody feelin "La La"?? I really thought that joint was wack, maybe its just me. Weezy is not the best rapper alive, he's probably the hottest rapper, but not the best. There is a huge difference between BEST and HOT. Still waitin on some classic material from Wayne, but this will hold until then.” btaznpride's Rating:

Bun B - “II Trill”
“Bun knocked this out. His debut album wasn't bad, but you could tell it was a first for him. II Trill is bumpin top to bottom. "You're Everything" is my cut, that is the best track, a true representation of the south, plus each guest spits solid bars (MJG with the best). "Get Cha Issue" is a pissed off Bun gettin at crooked cops, preachers and politicians, "If It Was Up II Me" is more mellow about change. That's Bun gettin political, but there are some bangers, "Another Soldier", "If I Die II Night" and "Underground Thang". Bun finishes it off with "Angel In The Sky" (Pimp C tribute) and the banging "Keep It 100". Solid album that is a satisfying southern disc.” btaznpride's Rating:
