Watch the Throne Promo Photo The Throne - “Watch the Throne”

“Just give Kanye the crown, he has totally owned the last 12 months in terms of making quality hip hop (maybe not in sales). This album isnt perfect but I have no doubt it is the best album to be released this year and leaves it competition Hell the Sequel for dead in terms of overall quality (though HTS had some sick tracks on it) Top 5: 1. Niggas In Paris 2. Murder To Excellence 3. Gotta Have It 4. Otis (Tracks definitely grown on me) 5. Made In America 4.5 Sidenote: Im over the Eminem dick riding, he's lucky to be top 5 currently (though Hell The Sequel is a step in the right direction for Em). Relapse was terrible and Recovery was average, neither album came close to his old shit.”

Hip-Hop is Dead Promo Photo Nas - “Hip-Hop is Dead”

“I honestly think this is Nas's best album. The production on this album is crazy, which is amazing considering Nas has always had a problem (in my eyes) at picking production. Rhyming wise he's not quite at his A game, though he still sounds better then 99% of rappers out there. Top 5: Black Republican Hip Hop Is Dead Play On Playa Carry On Tradition Hustlers”

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Promo Photo Kanye West - “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”

“Loved the album, though I honestly dont hear that 1 massive hit single that every other Yeezy album has had. To me, the album is a collection of brilliant album tracks that hip hop heads will love, but maybe not mainstream America. Album Of The Decade... I seriously doubt anyone will be able to make a album better than this anytime soon”

Thank Me Later Promo Photo Drake - “Thank Me Later”

“Ill be honest, I downloaded the album as soon as it leaked (my bad)... I do intend to purchase it when its released in Australia (if it gets released since Drake has yet to blow up here). Now that I got that piece of info out of the way, ill give my opinion on the album. Overall, I thought this album was great, though it could of been better. I still dont rate Drake as a singer. In my opinion, he's good enough to sing hooks but he isnt good enough to carry a whole track by just singing (Cece's Interlude is a good example of this). 'Find Your Love' is probably the exception to this opinion, though the production from Kanye helped me enjoy that track. The production overall is good, though their are some low points. The production on Karaoke, The Resistance, Fireworks, Shut It Down & Up All Night is pretty weak. The production on Thank Me Now, Fancy, Over & Miss Me were the highlights production wise. Lyrically, Drake holds his own against four of the biggest names in rap currently on Fancy (T.I.), Light Up (Jay), Miss Me (Weezy) & Unforgettable (Jeezy). I would love to of heard a verse from Kanye on Show Me A Good Time, I think it would of improved a already good album track. Great debut album from Drake, though I dont think it quite lived up to the hype. Top 5: 1. Fancy 2. Unforgettable 3. Thank Me Now 4. Over 5. Miss Me”

Wu-Massacre Promo Photo Meth, Ghost & Rae - “Wu-Massacre”

“I really thought this was a chance to be the first 5 star rating Nathan has given here, obviously not. Im glad I bought the album (im shocked there were any shipped to Australia). Im hoping there is a 2nd attempt from these guys, as I know these three could deliver a classic. 4.5”

Raymond v Raymond Promo Photo Usher - “Raymond v Raymond”

“Overall this is a better album then Here I Stand, though I agree with what most said that this album is lacking the major hit that all of Usher's other albums have had. Lil Freak is probably my favorite track on the album, though there are a couple of others that have found a spot in my rotation (which is usually a good sign if i may say so). Besides not having Tricky Stewart & The-Dream in the group of producers for this album, that list is really a who's who of hit makers in todays industry”

Loose Promo Photo Nelly Furtado - “Loose”

“My god this is a great album, Im glad I 'borrowed it' of my misses the other day because this is head to toe one of the greatest collection of beats Timbo has made (thanks to Danja mainly). Top 5 1. Come To An End 2. Say It Right 3. Maneater 4. Wait For You 5. Promiscuous”

Ready Promo Photo Trey Songz - “Ready”

“Im late to rate this album, so ill keep it short. No one can say Trey hasnt made a impact on radio from this point on. All of his singles released of this album have been in the top 50 of the hot 100 & made the top 10 of the R&B chart. Why did he leave Only Girl off the album, that track was dope”

Before I Self Destruct Promo Photo 50 Cent - “Before I Self Destruct”

“Very solid album, and defiantly warrants a 4 star rating from Nathan. Though to be honest, im of the opinion that this could have used another 1 or 2 radio singles. Besides 'Baby By Me', I dont really hear a track that's likely to climb up the charts. The remix (or the original) of 'Could've Been You' that has Bishop Lamont in it is a better then the version featured on this album. Dr. Dre's (Just Like Timbaland's) work behind the boards has became overrated imo, maybe 'The R.E.D. Album' by The Game will change my opinion about his work. Why isnt Mike Elizondo (who helped produced 'In Da Club', 'How We Do' & 'Outta Control Remix') assisting Dre on the boards these days? Which track is produced by Timbaland?”

D.N.A. Promo Photo Mario - “D.N.A.”

“I found myself enjoyin this album on first listen. It has got some dud tracks, though its mostly filled with some rotation worthy songs & a couple of bangers. Top 5 1. Get Out - the remix with luda should of been on the album 2. Starlight 3. I Choose You 4. Thinkin Bout You 5. Starlight Overall, this album isnt as good as Go!, though its still a solid overall album. 3.5”

Category F5 Promo Photo Twista - “Category F5”

“Its a average album & really could of used some more possible hit production from guys other then The Legendary Traxster. IMO, People would be looking at this album a little differently if Twista hadnt decided to cut almost half of the original tracks off the album ('She Got It' is a track that would of been a radio hit if put on Category F5). Still its a reasonably solid album, though it really should of been better & probably didnt match up to my expectations. Top 5 Wetter Yellow Light Gotta Get Me One Alright (A Itunes Bonus Track) Misunderstood 3.5”

Jeremih Promo Photo Jeremih - “Jeremih”

“For a debut R&B album, its pretty solid. Jeremih has some good vocals on most tracks & the production from Schultz was great. The fact that the production is only from him is also very impressive since its rare to see that in a major label album these days. There is 5 tracks on this album that are in my rotation currently (which is a good effort) Top 5: 1. Raindrops - HAS TO BE THE NEXT SINGLE 2. Break Up To Make Up 3. Birthday Sex 4. Starting All Over 5. Buh Bye”
