Distant Relatives Promo Photo Nas & Damian Marley - “Distant Relatives”

“It's true. I would give an imense amount of credit to Mr. Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley. I think most people are too which is why this is labeled as a Reggae album genre wise. However both bring it so well that I will be bumping this for Summers to come. This also proves that Nas after an incredible last album still hasn't lost it. I'll give this a 4.5 as well. It over exceded my expectations and is one of the best collaborations in a long time. Well done. Oh and if you illegally download this album your just sick and wrong.”

The Adventures of Bobby Ray Promo Photo B.o.B - “The Adventures of Bobby Ray ”

“Hey hey welcome back Nathan. Great way to return. Anyways, I'm going to start out by saying that I have never really liked B.o.B. Yeah I've gotten my fair share of hate for never thinking that he was anything special. Was it his annoying voice, or the fact that he just wouldn't drop an album? I don't know, but even though I still think he is annoying, I really like this album. Mostly because of the production and the guest features. Bobby does hold his own as Nathan said, especially with T.I. @3Roshambo3: I'm all for opinions here, but this definitely isn't a classic or a near-classic for that matter, and even though Nathans rating system is flawed seeing as you can't rate a debut album a classic when you have nothing to compare it to which is what Nathan does when rating, this isn't more than a four star.”

Wu-Massacre Promo Photo Meth, Ghost & Rae - “Wu-Massacre”

“This review was right on point. Couple of classics on here and mostly bangers for a Wu album. Otherwise awesome. I'll be banging this in my car for a while now. SWEEEEEEETTTTTT.”

Raymond v Raymond Promo Photo Usher - “Raymond v Raymond”

“Alright, like so many people say here, from now on, all of his albums will be compared to Confessions....sadly. I hate it when that happens to an artist. But anyway, I'm glad to say that this album is much much MUCH better than "Here I Stand". I'll give it a solid rating but barely. On this album the album tracks are better than the singles although I really like "Lil Freak". Anyways this was a very mature album, probably one of his maturest.”

“Wow, who else agrees that Missy Elliot is getting to be a real good producer? Heck, this album is almost perfect production. I love it.”

Jason Derulo Promo Photo Jason Derulo - “Jason Derulo”

“In no way a classic, but still one of the better albums of the year. One of the reasons I'm saying that is because of the production. "Encore's" production is simply amazing. If only they could have gotten a better singer on it. I'm not saying Jason's bad, hes just okay. Otherwise, as Nathan puts it, good "Hip-Pop" album.”

4:57 Mixtape Promo Photo Laws - “4:57 Mixtape”

“This is my first listen to Laws. What I like about him was the fact that he had me hooked the entire mixtape, and for a mixtape this was close to an album, which is the case with many mixtapes these days. Otherwise, great mixtape, but I hate to say that I don't think he will get big.”

Defying the Predictable Promo Photo Joell Ortiz & Novel - “Defying the Predictable”

“Definitely the best mixtape all year so far. The Remixes on here are great, and these two just work great as a duo.”

The Element of Freedom Promo Photo Alicia Keys - “The Element of Freedom”

“I agree 100%. This album was fantastic, and one of the best of the year (This year has been horrible for music in general). Still, when comparing it to "As I Am" it isn't as good as Nathan said. This album is a little scrambled, especially with "Put It In A Love Song". That song is so out of place it isn't even funny. It's good, but it just doesn't belong. Otherwise still an amazing album, from the soulful into making me wonder if it was actually Alicia singing to the epic closer of a broken down Jay-Z track. My personal favorite is "Wait Till you see me smile".”

Graffiti Promo Photo Chris Brown - “Graffiti”

“I decided to lay off of the review for a little while on this one...just to let it die down a little bit. From what I have found reading a ton of reviews about this album is that all the critics agree in saying this album is just poor (i.e. Rolling Stone gave it 2 1/2 out of 5), while all the fans and people agree that this album was just a little better than that. In fact, on itunes, the album still holds a 4 1/2 star rating. As for me, I'm mixed about this album. I think this is about the same as his last, just a little more compressed. There are tracks which I love, such as Crawl which is up there for my top ten of the year, and then there are tracks that are horrible such as Famous Girl and others. I'm not giving this a Four, I'm giving it a 3.5 Above Average, only because of the good tracks it includes. Do I think it deserves the horrible criticism it's getting, no, but then again, I'm not a professional when it comes to reviewing this stuff.”

Rated R Promo Photo Rihanna - “Rated R”

“Lets be honest. This album won't be as popular as her last. Most of these songs the radio won't even think about touching. But I agree with Nathan 100%. This album was crucial in her career. She needed to do this. I didn't like this album as much as "Good Girl Gone Bad" but it is still up there. I'm giving it a 3.5. "G4L" is my favorite song. Not for the message but for The-Dream "Esque" sound it has. Overall a very dark album.”

Attention Deficit Promo Photo Wale - “Attention Deficit”

“It will be interesting to see what Wale can do when he matures. This album was surprisingly mature however but with sore spots including "mirrors" and "let it loose". I'm sorry but I just don't think wale sounds good on a club track. Nathan your review was spot on but I'm surprise you didn't mention the Rihanna sampled "contemplate". Wale's flow on this track was incredible to me. Otherwise this is a solid debut from a very good rapper.”

In Love & War Promo Photo Amerie - “In Love & War”

“Wow, there aren't many singers out there that sing with as much heart and soul as this girl. Just go watch one of her video's. This girl is the female equivalent to Trey Songz. Just think about it, she doesn't really know her place but has great talent.”

Super Senior Promo Photo K. Sparks - “Super Senior”

“Yo K, your like a perfect mix between LL and Nas man. Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll be on top in no time. Seriously one of the best mixtapes I have heard this year, and just remember this is the year that Drake dropped his mixtape as well. Great job man.”

Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel Promo Photo Mariah Carey - “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel”

“I actually like this album a little better than "E=MC2" even though I gave them both the same rating. I think Mariah goes perfect with Dream and Tricky. They are my favorite producers in the game right now. I also think that Mariah is a little more mature on this album. As a whole I like this album better but for "E=MC2" I liked certain tracks better. Great review Nathan, as always.”
