Lloyd - “Lessons In Love”
“Very good write-up Nate! As usual you hit it right on the money! I think this album was VERY GOOD! Almost Great! I will be listening to it for years to come along with the last album. I think this album had good production across the board and it just has a really smooth; relaxing vibe to it that you can play throughout the ages. Lloyd's lyrics and voice match the album's title nicely and it just all works out for me. This album is a CERTIFIED DJ BLAZE BANGER!!!” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nas - “Untitled”
“Awesome Write-up Nate! This Album is completely SICK! It's just crazy how good of an album this is. He is making it hard to choose between his album and Lil Wayne's...They are both very good! I was surprised at how I couldn't even skip not ONE track on the whole CD! Good beats; GREAT lyrics and just an excellent overall listening experience! I doubted that NAS could ever make another great album again, but he just shut me the F*CK up! Oh My god! I still can't believe how good this album is! You guys know how critical I am of artists; even if everyone else says someone is good (cough, chamillionaire, cough)...but this is just too good to hate! If you don't have this album yet; go get it; download it; whatever...Just make sure you let this album "Bless your Ears" as Boss Dogg stated earlier! Near CLASSIC!” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Bun B - “II Trill”
“In my opinion, this Album was NICE! I thought that this album would be good because Bun B has been killing EVERYTHING as of late! You're Everything is the hottest Track to me, but overall, this is a 3.5 star album! Very good effort In my opinion!” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Lil Wayne - “The Drought Is Over #5 (Grand Closing)”
“Nice Writeup Nate! I am really really feeling this mixtape. This is one of his best in my opinion. This is like not even Rap anymore...It's Black Rock and Roll! Lil Wayne is on another level and some people will just never understand it! This will hold me over until Carter 3 drops...hopefully...” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Day26 - “Day26”
“Great Writeup once again NATE! This album is a very very solid album! I have to agree with you Fred Rico...Robert is my favorite one in the group. I think he has such a unique voice and always sings with great emotion almost effortlessly. The most talented person in the group has to be Mike because he has about 10 different ways/styles he can sing! The others are all very strong in their own right as well. I really enjoyed the album almost track after track. This will be in my MP3 for some time to come! Great album...Definitely a CERTIFIED DJ BLAZE BANGER!” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Sheek Louch - “Silverback Gorilla”
“Very nice Write-up Nate! The comparison to NCAA basketball (even though I only watch NBA basketball) was EXCELLENT! Love reading your reviews (very creative)! That's why you are on the DJBOOTH TEAM....My Nizzle!!! Anyway; this is a pretty strong album with many different feels to each and every track. I am going to agree with the score of 3.5 stars 100%! The only part of the review that i have to disagree with is the "We Spray Crowds" track. This is very HEAVY in the streets and this track was made for the people in the streets and on the block hustlin'. They will definitely bounce to this and bump this more than people who don't like violent music. Anyone who has been listening to DBLOCK mixtapes for the last 7 years would know most of their stuff isn't for albums; but mostly for the streets and this track is a tribute to all the Hood people that followed them all this time. Good Album Overall...Score...3.5!” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Lil Wayne - “The Leak EP”
“Wussup Chilltown...I might be able to agree with you there. Eminem is a BEAST! Lil Wayne right now is the Best rapper alive. Note the words "RIGHT NOW" in front of my sentence. I am on your side with this one Nate...I simply don't know myself if he is the greatest; but I agree that he definitely needs more material (Real Albums) to see where he really stands. This is also the reason why I cannot say that Biggie is as Great as everyone else says. He only gave us about 40 tracks total; which is not enough to judge someone's True Skill. Tupac was a no-brainer because he has over 400 songs; so you get to see all the diversity. The Leak album is a decent mixtape type of album. I am happy that this wasn't the real Carter 3 album because it would have fallen short of the Carter 2's Greatness; and it would have also fell short of the Drought 3 (when I think he was at his peak, but he might still be there). I hope his next album is hotter than this; but this is acceptable and better than most people's real album. I like the Leak better than American Gangster by far and also better than the Lupe The Cool. Never-the-less...It is a creative mixtape and he is just a creative dude that doesn't care what people think about him or his flow and he just comes out with what is on his mind regardless of the type of publicity or backlash that it might create. I give him major props for this and I hope he gives us another SMASH success on the Carter 3. (This gets a 3.5 from me as well, but we only have whole number stars, so I'll give him a 4...)” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Styles P. - “Super Gangsta, Extraordinary Gentleman”
“I listened to this album and I really really like it. I said previously that this album is right up there with 50 Cent Curtis, Kanye Graduation, Jay-Z American Gangsta, but like you said, he never gets the recognition he deserves because of weak promotion. I also agree that he is only meant to spit that hard shit! He doesn't need all that other club stuff, because he is just who he is! This is a very strong album and it is just as good as the cassidy album or the 50 album in my opinion. For a really sick mixtape, please download Gangster and a Menace as it is one of the best mixtapes I have heard in a long time. It is mostly joints from Styles P that couldn't or didn't make the album and some other goodies. Definitely worth the download! Peace!” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

JR Writer - “Writer's Block 5”
“OK guys! I just listened to the mixtape and it is SIIIIICK! I was going into this thinking that JR Writer might have lost a step since Writer's block 4 (which I thought was the worst one of them all). But he definitely proved me wrong and shut me up at the same time. It is 14 tracks in all and 11 of those tracks can be played back to back. The beats aren't the best, but he makes them 100 times better. JR is still the truth, so DON'T SLEEP! His promotion is weak because Dipset money isn't all that. They usually use Koch who doesn't do their promotion...they usually do it all themselves. Oh well...” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
