Drake - “Take Care”
“It took me a really long time to do this review, even though I had the album leak about a week before it dropped. Now that I've listened to the album at least 10 times all the way through, I can safely say that this is a 4.5-star CLASSIC album that will continue to be played for years and years to come. This album has a taste of everything for everyone, for almost every different situation or mood that can come about in life. These are the types of albums that 10yrs from now you can break out of the closet and just put it in. There are only about 2 tracks that I will fast forward out of the whole bunch, and its not because they are bad songs, but just because I've played them to death. This is a great overall album and I continue to be impressed with Drizzy's style, flow, and musical abilities on this album. I'll be bumping this for a while... Great album and almost perfect...” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Wale - “Ambition”
“I think this album shows that Wale has improved as an MC and he has a good range of tracks to showcase his talent. I was definitely sleeping on Wale before he came to MMG, but this is a very good album. I put many of the joints on repeat. This will be bumping in my MP3 for months to come. Good work overall. Not a classic album, but definitetly SOLID!” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Lil Wayne - “Tha Carter IV”
“I took my sweet time rating this one as well because I feel you need to listen to the music many times before you can give your observation. Having said that, I thought this album was actually better after the first couple of spins than it is now. I feel that some of the songs are easily skipped and the rest of them can go on repeat. I really liked Abortion, Interlude, She will, Nightmares, Megaman, Blunt Blowin, and How to love the most. Most of the others can be skipped. Other than that, the highs are high enough for me to make it a Banger. I too thought it would be better, but still a good outing and one that I don't think will jeopardize his credibility as one of the best in the game.” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The Throne - “Watch the Throne”
“This is definitely a Near-Classic album. Once again you hit it right on the head Nate. I took a long time to rate this album because after my first two listens, I wasn't that impressed on the surface. I had to listen to it under different circumstances* to dive deeper into the album and what I found was a lot of creativity. One of my favorite albums of 2011. Good job by both Kanye and Jay-Z.” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Amy Winehouse - “Back to Black”
“This album may just be the definition of Classic. Excellent write-up Nate! She will be missed by all of her fans with me included. She was excellent at her best and painful to watch at her worst. I hope that her last album will be great too.” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

R. Kelly - “Love Letter”
“This is the best R&B album of 2010 for me! I am seriously surprised. I was sleeping on this album. R. Kelly delivered an album that was a throwback to the old time music greats who were inventing R&B long before it would be called R&B. R. Kelly was already a musical genius, but this album shows that he has even MORE versatility than I could have imagined. This is an album of Real Music that all ages can relate to. It really does have a "younger" appeal to it somehow even while the song structures are from long ago. I think everyone needs to check out this album. There are 2 or 3 tracks that I would skip, but the rest are just excellent. This is the type of music that R.Kelly can perform on stage and have panties flying at him without even dancing or performing other gimmicks. 5-Star Album for me! I'll be playing this for years to come.” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Lloyd Banks - “The Hunger for More 2”
“Nate, I think your review is 10000% right on POINT! I am a G-Unit fan, so I say this is probably Lloyd Banks Best album. I wasn't even going to get this album actually. Even though I am a G-Unit fan, I started to lose a bit of faith in Banks over the years. AS soon as I heard Bimmer, Benz, or Bently, I knew something was different with him this time around. Then Kanye said he was a top-5 rapper and I had to find out what he was talking about. So to my surprise, all the other singles that came out after that were great. So now, as the album came out, I was happy to see all the feature artists, good beats, and a top-form Lloyd Banks on nearly all the tracks. In a sea of all this back-pack rapper business going on, it is very refreshing to get some real gritty street rap from a real street hustla! Hunger for more is just that... It shows Banks Hunger for more... Nate, you are right that I will bump this for a few months and it will probably fade into obscurity, but it will be blaring Loudly from the Bimmer, my MP3 player, my computer, and my DJ setup for as long as it lasts! BANGER $HIT!” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

T.I. - “No Mercy”
“I am feeling this album A LOT! I would rate this a 4.5 out of 5, but I have to say I like this better than the Kanye Album. I can listen to this album all the way through while only skipping "Amazing" and "Lay me Down". I don't like Rocko, but I like "I Can't Help it" A LOT! The production is tight and TI is better than ever lyrically. This album is just as good as Paper Trail to me. Easily a Banger and almost a CLASSIC! Great Review Nate! I see you!” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Kanye West - “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”
“This is a BANGER ALBUM! Sick review Nate. He'll definitely win a Grammy or two from this album. The Fusion of genres and lyrical skill is unbelievable for the most part. Now let me tell you all why I didn't give this a 5-star rating like everyone else here. I believe a 5-star album should stand the test of time and the listener should also be able to play the entire album from beginning to end without the urge of wanting to skip a song (interludes excluded). I felt the urge to skip a few tracks, so therefor, I can't give this the elusive Classic rating. I do think it will stand the test of time, but we will just have to see 15yrs from now. The tracks I really liked, I LOVED! I can't even pick a favorite out of the 8 songs I like. Some of the best work from Kanye is on this album, no doubt. Even though the production value and quality is excellent throughout the entire album, that does not mean that the song is going to be loved equally. Taste and opinion is in the ear of the beholder. The tracks that I thought were decent but just not my style were: Monster, So Appalled, Hell of a Life, Lost in the World, and Who will survive America. Lyrically, most of those songs are hot, but they just didn't move me or make me want to play them over again. Everything else is pure Genius!” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Chris Brown - “Graffiti”
“This album took me longer than expected to Rate/Review because I was blown away by our very own Nathan S review that made the album sound Horrible. Well, I am here to tell you that this is a SOLID Album to me with only 3 songs that I couldn't listen to all the way through. This album is 3 songs away from CLASSIC. Breezy touches on many different Genres in this album and does them successfully from R&B to Dance to POP and to Rock And Roll...It's all here! Since I like almost every track on this album the three tracks that I didn't like were: Wait, Lucky Me, and Girlfriend. I think that Nate is the BEST album reviewer Ever, but I definitely disagree with this rating. I think that if Nathan put the person of Chris Brown aside and just judged this body of work then it would be rated higher but, we are not machines...we are only human and sometimes people have to judge music based on life experiences and the demeanor of the person being graded. Even with all the Shortcomings of Mr. Brown, I still have to admit that I enjoyed this album a GREAT DEAL and it will remain in my MP3 player for a long time to come. This album is a SOLID BANGER!!! Definitely worth it.” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

50 Cent - “War Angel”
“This Mixtape is SICK! I believe that some of these songs are those that didn't make the cut for the next album. This is definitely "old" 50 type material and that's exactly what he needs right now. Good $hit!” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Day26 - “Forever in a Day”
“Great Review Nate! Everyone knows that my favorite R&B group is Day 26 and I been saying this since they were formed! They are super talented and this album proves it! This album was good overall and it is definitely SOLID. But I don't know if its a classic like the first album. But nevertheless it is still very very good! This will be in my MP3 Player for a while! This Album IS A CERTIFIED DJ BLAZE BANGER!!!” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Ludacris - “Theater Of The Mind”
“Sick Review Nate! Honestly, I am SHOCKED! No I'm not...I knew Luda was going to kill it on his next album, but NOT LIKE THIS! WOW is all I can say! You will be able to play this album TRACK FOR TRACK all the way through without a skip!!!! That is the Definition of a CLASSIC album. An album that every track is lyrically GREAT and every beat is Creative and Rocking. This is the MUST BUY album of 2008! This Grammy Show is going to be crazy for the Rap category: TI, Ludacris, Nas, and Lil Wayne. I am still in shock after listening to this album. There is no way that this album cannot be a Classic. Simply AMAZING right here. This is a definite buy; for real! WOW is all I can say! WOW! Go get it!” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Joe Budden - “Halfway House”
“Jersey Representin!!!! First off, I must say that this Mixtape is a SOLID album coming from Joe B! He is one of the BEST MC's in the game and he sure HOLDS it down for NJ! Whenever I listen to him, I can tell he is Definitely from Jersey with his slang and delivery, It's just Jersey at its finest when it comes to Rap. On this mixtape, there is something for everyone, good lyrics, nice beats, and it just so happens that he has something to say. He relates to absolutely everyone in some type of way on at least one song from this mixtape. He also allows you to visualize everything he says, making for great storytelling. The only reason it isn't classic is because there are a couple of songs I skip like touch and go, and it is just missing something...It's not as good as the Lil Wayne album, T.I. album or the NAS album, but it is a DAMN GOOD MIXTAPE, and I just hope that his real album is on the same page as this but just taking it to the next level! JUMP-OFF is back!!! It's that on-top MUSIC!” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Lloyd - “Lessons In Love”
“Very good write-up Nate! As usual you hit it right on the money! I think this album was VERY GOOD! Almost Great! I will be listening to it for years to come along with the last album. I think this album had good production across the board and it just has a really smooth; relaxing vibe to it that you can play throughout the ages. Lloyd's lyrics and voice match the album's title nicely and it just all works out for me. This album is a CERTIFIED DJ BLAZE BANGER!!!” djblaze's Rating:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
