Out On Top's TOP HIP HOP SINGLES

Chemistry
Chemistry - “Get Down ft. Juelz Santana”

“Wow! This is too fire!!! I like the production - Oh and it's a Pleasure P production? I didn't know he was this good. Wow! I'm impressed. Whoever was doing the vocals on this track - I likes. The chorus with a good singer helps in my rating this joint. I can definately groove to this in the club for a sec! Wouldn't necessarily ride to it - but I have other songs for that!!! This is really good!”

The-Dream The-Dream - “Rockin' That Thang (Remix) ft. Fabolous”

“Producing your own ish, definately gives you homefield advantage. The Dream and Fabo? It's a must hear....Fabo's flow is simple, but this is a track for the ladies, so the simple flow works here. Of course he can come hard, but we don't need him to. This song was already hot w/o Fabo on it. I wish he'd have remixed it for real - a new beat/melody. Nevertheless - its in rotation!!!”

Rick Ross Rick Ross - “Mafia Music”

“The Inkredibles, huh? Ok. Aye! Ross goes hard on this, like I would expect on a track called "Mafia Music". Always did dig Ricky Ross! Though I usually like songs that have a catchy chorus, he fills the song with good lyrical content without any of those commercial fillers many artists use to sell. This will go without all of the commercial gimmicks.”

K-Salaam & Beatnick
K-Salaam & Beatnick - “Let's Get It On (Remix) ft. Marvin Gaye”

“Well, remix an old school song then! I'm all for it! Marvin Gaye was a legend, and the production puts that classic soulfulness right back out there for the young heads to get a chance to appreciate, whether they dig that style of music or not.”

Naledge Naledge - “Rock Top Fashions”

“I didn't think I was gonna like this. Just by looking at the dudes pic. I thought this would be corny. But I think this Kat's flow is smooth. I like the production. It's simple enough to get me moving, but not too complex to overshadow this guy's talent. I can now look forward to seeing what else he comes out with.”

Drake Drake - “Unstoppable (Remix)”

“Another Drizzle Weezy F Baby collabo!!! I'm so feelin Drake. Weezy is my F Baby as always. This beat kills. Drake's flow is off the hook on this joint. Weezy sounds so sexy on this track to me. I'm such a groupie for that dude, so I was gonna like it any way, but even with out Wayne, Drake killed it. Banger!!!!”

DJ Envy
DJ Envy - “Download ft. Lil' Kim, Charlie Wilson, & T-Pain”

“I'm a super fan of The Gap Band, and Charlie Wilson did his damn thing on this. Lil' Kim's part was iight. It's a cute song. Im throwin in my slow jams rotation!”

Lil Wayne Lil Wayne - “Red Rum ft. Dre”

“OH My Goodness! Cool & Dre threw a hot lil' Micheal Jackson sample in the background of this joint, didn't they? How hot is that? I love the production on this joint for real!!! Weezy is my man!!! However, I am w/ reishm on the lack of originality on the lyrics. Is this like outright challenge to Jay-Z? I guess you could either look at it like Weezy thinks he can spit Jay's words better than him, or its payment of homage to a prolific lyricist. Either way, the lyrics were hot when Jay spit em and I dig Weezy. It a banger!”

Lil Wayne Lil Wayne - “Yes ft. Pharrell”

“Yes Yes Yes! I love Weezy! I don't think there's a collabo that he's on that I hate. This beat is so gutta and raw. It makes me wanna wine it up and "gyrate my hips"! Pharrell has a new sound on this one. He sounds grimy and hard. This track kills!!!!”

Cupid
Cupid - “The Love Slide”

“LOL @ MH. Is that really the first black Powerranger? It sure looks like him. All joking aside. You gotta feel what this music is made for to really appreciate it. Line dance after line dance after a while does get wack. But if you have a real good one, chicks (and some dudes) and especially the oldheads love to cut a rug to ish like this. The cupid shuffle is my joint. And its not the song necessarily that does it for me, its just the reaction it gets when its played. You'll have a group of some of hypest peeple on the dance floor shuffling to this joint. Now this is more on the R.Kelly step in the name of love vibe. I can't officially say I like this cut until I know the dance that goes with it and how fun it is to do. But its always cool (for ya'll dancers out there) to have a group of people with a smooth joint to STEP to. I think this might be alright. It's not something to bump in your ride or chill w/ your boo. This is strictly for the dancers.”

Nephu
Nephu - “Dance for Me ft. Yung Joc”

“As soon as this came on, I felt what most of the Booth was talking about. It reminds me of some old Ready for the World. The production is on point here. The vibe overall is smooth and definately sexy. Maybe its not the best song out there, but it showcases the talent these gentlemen posess and that means there's potential for a banger later. I'll definately be looking out for these guys. Joc did his thing on this track to. This is fo sho going on my slow jams playlist!”

Kevin Cossom Kevin Cossom - “My Ex ft. Rick Ross”

“Wow! Way to keep it all the way real Kevin. I mean we may as well be listening to songs that address what it REALLY is out here. Production is bangin' the beat is real cool, smooth and sexy. He's not just singing just to be singing. Thhis song actually talks about something and vocally Mr Cossom has what it takes to get noticed out here. Rick Ross wasn't that impressive but It's not really even about him on this track. I wish they would have just left his part out, but big names help the new peeps sell - so I feel Cossom on that tip.”

R. Kelly R. Kelly - “I Believe”

“Man, Inspirational songs aren't usually my fortay - Kels or not. I Believe I Can Fly had to really grow on me until I had no choice but to like it cause they played it so much. Kels is the King, though and I have to give it to him. His voice is unique and he sings with the same soul and energy about gettin down w/ a hottie as he does about lifting our sprits. You gotta love him for that! If Obama ever had a theme song, I definately think this could be it. This one won't be in rotation, just because I can't get down (dancefloor or otherwise) off of it, but it definately is a classic!”

Plies Plies - “Want It, Need It ft. Ashanti”

“Wow! Plies is at it again. Keeping that freaky-deak music for all the lovers! He's found his formula and and for him it works! I love the original "Two Occasions" that this song samples from. The production was RITE! Big up to J.R. Rotem for doin' his thang! Like Lloyd said - this is the year of the lover!!!! Banger!”
