Had these 8 months maybe, and the piece above the hinge on the left side totally shattered. Same thing with the Sony MDR-V700’s I had, but those lasted much longer than a year. I would agree with the original review on the sound quality and comfort of the Technics RPDH1200’s though.

To getdownski: If you broke two pairs of headphones at the same place that cost more than $150 a piece; then something is wrong with the way you use them!!!
