I have used the RMX and personally feel it is way overrated. The Virtual DJ program is ok at best, and the controller itself is wack. It freezes and locks up all the time. I tried 2 different units and they both were awful. I went with the Numark Omni Control console, and that is the answer. Scratching is limited, but it is reliable and sturdy. The Trakter 3LE software is very cool too.
I would recommend staying away from the Hercules RMX until the kinks are worked out.
