UDG, a company known for its high-quality DJ bags and cases, has released a top-of-the-line Laptop/Controller Stand called the Creator. We here are The Booth took it for a spin and are happy to say that it has become our favorite stand in the office due to its chameleon-like ability to adapt to any DJ setup and its awesome build quality.
We recently reviewed the new Beats By Dr. Dre Mixr Professional DJ headphones and we were impressed with the build quality, the sound signature, and all the other features that worked well inside the DJ booth. The Beats Pro headphones have a completely solid steel/aluminum construction, an over-the-ear design for good isolation, and a folding-swivel construction for one-ear monitoring and storage. Phiaton is a relatively new audio company that produces some good quality headphones for all types of users. The Phiaton Bridge MS 500 headphones have an over-the-ear design and premium construction materials throughout including a solid aluminum body and genuine leather earcups and headband for added comfort and durability. The Legendary guitar amp company Marshall revisits the drawing board for their headphone lineup and delivered a high quality headphone that is sure to please every day music enthusiasts as well as delivering on many features that DJ’s need. They’ve come up with their new premier model of headphones called the Marshall Monitor which sports a set of heavy-duty-metal folding hinges, over-the-ear 40mm driver design, and an additional headphone input port on both earcups to share the music with a friend. Sol Republic is a relatively new company with a nice line of headphones of a few various shapes and sizes to suit all sorts of listening styles and needs. The Sol Republic Master Tracks headphones are their new over-the-ear style of headphones that could possibly fit the bill for DJ’s needs based on its construction and replaceable parts offered in case anything ever does break. The purpose of this review is to test them out further to see if they can handle the abuse and needs of a Performing DJ.
