The Vestax PMC-05 Pro II is a mid-tier 2-channel mixer which offers great performance at a good price. The PMC-05 Pro II has many of the same features as the 07, including the hamster switch, PVC faders, cue fader, and curve adjustment. The Vestax PMC-05 Pro II mixer should also be noted for its spaced layout, ideal for scratching.

A mid-tier mixer which is a great value at its price. Although the PMC-07 has better sound quality and a superior EQ, the PMC-05 makes up for these shortcomings with a reduced price. However, it still offers the same great PVC faders and Hamster switch as well as many other features found on the PMC-07.

I’ve used the Vestax PMC-05 Pro II for 2 years and I am happy with its performance. At the time I did not have the money to buy the 07, but the PMC-05 has a good amount of features for its price. I am a scratch DJ and have put the crossfader through some heavy abuse but it shows no signs of bleeding or cracking. The only personal complaint I can think of about the 05 Pro is that the crossfader curve adjustment doesn’t seem to work as good as when I got it. However, this is a small problem and overall I’d recommend the PMC-05 Pro II to any scratch DJ who wants to spend less than $500 dollars on a mixer. - DJ Spiff
