[NAMM 2013] Numark’s Teaser Video

Late last week Numark sent out a quick three-second teaser video that sent the DJ world into a frenzy. All that is shown is a group of eight multicolored pads that exist on a new piece of Numark DJ gear. This new piece of Numark shiny will be present at this year's 2013 NAMM show in California which starts this week.

Usually, I know exactly what's coming next, but this time I am in the dark as much as you, so I'll take a crack at it myself. It looks to me like a new controller that will control Serato DJ or Traktor Pro with Remix Decks. I say this because they have an eight pad section that is found on the Vestax VCI-380, Novation Twitch, and also the Pioneer DDJ-SX that can control the hot cues, Roll, Slicer, and Sampler in Serato DJ. The Pads are also multicolored and backlit making them ideal for Traktor's Remix Decks. My last and final guess is that it is a form of the MPC-DJ that we saw at a show a while back. This was a DJ controller infused with Numark's Sister-Brand Akai's MPC lineup which could potentially be used as a production device and a DJ device all in one.
