UDG has been protecting DJ’s gear and accessories for quite a long time now and they have introduced a new entry-level line of sleeves and bags that come in at a great price point. The new UDG Urbanite sleeves and bags are made of heavy duty nylon and contain a good amount of foam and padding to protect many different size controllers and gear that are popular with today’s DJ’s.
Decksavers is our absolute favorite way to protect DJ gear here at the DJbooth.net Labs. We have Decksavers for the Stanton ST.150’s, the Traktor Z2 mixer, the NI Maschine Studio, the Vestax VCI-400, and a cover for the Traktor Kontrol S4. Decksaver continues to add to their lineup with the new covers being released for various production pieces in the Roland Aira and Korg Volca ranges.
At last weekend’s BPM 2014 show, Numark unveiled a new line of headphones for DJ’s at different price points with different construction properties. The Numark HF series headphones all have great qualities for DJ’s and we’ll definitely get them in the lab for the review treatment. The HF150 headphones are collapsible and have a small design for easy transport, the HF325 have an on-ear performance design, while the HF350 have an over-the-ear Pro design.
Numark is on a roll at this year’s BPM show in the UK with the release of a few new products. The product that seems to be making the most noise is the new NDX-500 Multi-media player and DJ controller. The NDX-500 is like an update to the other NDX models as it can playback music from USB drives, CD’s, or even work as a USB MIDI controller with native Serato DJ support.

Back at it once again, I had to get my camera rolling to give you a quick freestyle mixing session with some of my favorite tracks of this latest release. Every month I complete a quick freestyle DJ session while choosing songs from my newest Monthly Mixtape series called “DJ Blaze - Blazing Cuts”. Check out my quick freestyle video session and download/stream my latest August 2014 mixtape.
