We recently reviewed the new Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S8 which is a very powerful DJ controller for Traktor while also working as a DVS enabled mixer for external turntables and CDJ style control. The legendary DJ Shiftee has just completed a pretty sick turntable timecode DVS performance along with using some of the new cool features on the Traktor Kontrol S8 such as Freeze Mode. Check out this dope performance video to see what’s possible with the new S8.
Native Instruments has officially announced the arrival of their newest compact DJ controller for Traktor called the Traktor Kontrol D2. The Traktor Kontrol D2 is essentially the “deck” section of the recently reviewed Traktor Kontrol S8 DJ controller and it sports the same hi-res screen and heavy remix deck control with multicolored backlit pads and volume controls. The D2 and the S8 will also use these remix deck controls to manipulate the new Stems file format.
I’ve been personally using Odyssey flight cases for my DJ equipment for over twenty years now! Odyssey always seems to bring out new cases and bags to protect DJ equipment almost as soon as the piece is released to the public. The newly announced Pioneer XDJ-RX all-in-one DJ Rekordbox system was recently released to the masses and Odyssey has already produced new flight cases and bags to accommodate.

Magma has just released the new CTRL-Case Hard Shells for the Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S8, the Numark NV, and the Akai AFX/AMX controllers.

The Epsilon company puts out great quality DJ gear at extremely affordable prices. I can easily vouch for these claims as we’ve recently reviewed their Epsilon INNO-PROPAK turntable/mixer package and the Epsilon EPS 8.0 active studio monitors with great results. It looks like the masses are also in agreement as everyone was on hand at the NAMM 2015 Epsilon Booth to see their new offerings up close and personal.
