The Serato Team is steadily releasing new Serato control vinyl in brand new colors and styles for collectors and DJ’s. Just yesterday, Serato released the new Coral & Yellow noisemap control vinyl which run only $39 per pair. As with all the latest vinyl releases, the Yellow & Coral vinyl come with the new CV02.5, Performance Series Control Tone for the best tracking and tightest control available.
As we reported in an earlier NAMM 2015 story, the Reloop team has decided to release their flagship RP-8000 turntables in a straight tonearm edition to appease many scratch DJ’s who are more comfortable with the straight arm skip resistance. The new RP-8000 Straight turntables will have all the same features and functions of the original RP-8000 Hybrid Turntables we reviewed last year with a new tonearm option for those who want it.

Reloop has also announced a new RMX-60 Digital mixer for NAMM 2015. These two products were announced by a quick surprise video from Reloop with turntablist DJ Fong Fong going to work on the new RP-8000 Straight turntables and the RMX-60 Digital four-channel mixer. Atomix is the company that brings us the super popular DJ software known as Virtual DJ. Virtual DJ has been making waves among Digital Vinyl users recently when they announced that their new algorithm for their DVS engine is as good as any other software out there and they’ve been challenging DJ’s to see if they can break it. Atomix has started a new video web series called Power Room that will feature Virtual DJ being used and abused by some of the best DJ’s around.
Now that Pioneer DJ has started making the recently reviewed PLX-1000 turntables to play vinyl, it almost seems like the DJ equipment and culture has come full circle. Pioneer has been taking us all on a trip down memory lane as they continue to release the history of the DJ and the role that particular Pioneer DJ equipment has played in it. The new Pioneer PLX-1000 analog DJ turntables have the similar layout and basic features of the iconic Technics 1200’s that DJ’s are familiar with along with some “Super-OEM” turntable DNA and other minor adjustments to set it apart from the others on the market.
