The Traktor Kontrol Z2 Mixer and Stanton ST-150 Super-OEM turntables are my battle weapons of choice.  I have been using this setup for the last few years now and I always had a vinyl skin on each piece to make it look unique.  It’s about time to switch up the look, so I decided to contact our friends over at 12inchskinz.com to see what they had to offer.  We decided to go with the “All-Gold-Everything” theme to change the Turntables & Mixer to have a loud gold appearance and we were NOT disappointed!

Our good friend DJ Just Dizle from France has just released a cool West Coast Megamix video which features this globe-trotting DJ mixing 125 songs on the one’s and two’s filled with West Coast Hip-Hop classics and new joints.  There’s tracks from Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, The Game, Snoop, Tyler the Creator, and so much more.

New DJ Jazzy Jeff Serato Vinyl Pressing [Video]

DJ Jazzy Jeff is one of the best DJ’s in the World and one of the main reasons I started spinning on the turntables in the first place.  Serato has always been supportive of the World Traveling (Vinyl Destination) DJ and they decided to create a new limited edition Jazzy Jeff vinyl pressing which includes a case that looks like the aluminum carry case that Jazzy Jeff would take on the road with him.  The set comes with two Serato timecode vinyl for DJ’s to use with Serato DJ.

Reloop Concorde DJ Cartridges [Video]

Way back at the BPM 2013 show, Reloop announced a joint venture with Ortofon DJ to create vinyl turntable cartridges that would appeal to different DJ’s who perform with vinyl.  These new Reloop branded Ortofon Concorde Cartridges come in Black (entry-level), Green (digital timecode vinyl), and Blue (all around performers), with two OM headshell-mounted variations also available.  These cartridges are now available and Reloop has released three quick videos to show what each one is used for.

Atomix Power Room Virtual DJ Episode 6 [Video]

The Atomix team has started a new video web series called Power Room that will feature Virtual DJ 8’s new engine being used and abused by some of the best DJ’s around to see if it can be broken!  In this sixth episode, the Atomix team take the Virtual DJ DVS setup to Miami once again, but this time to see DMC DJ Knockers to get his impressions of the new vinyl engine in VDJ 8.  Check out the quick scratch DJ performance and interview below to see how it stacks up to the others…
