The new Pioneer PLX-1000 analog turntables are on hand at the Atlantic City DJ Expo and we have Pioneer DJ's own DJ Flip to give us an exclusive walkthrough to let us know what they are all about. This new Turntable by has most of the original layout of the iconic Technics 1200's that DJ's are familiar with along with some Super-OEM DNA and other minor improvements and adjustments to set it apart from the rest of the pack. The PLX-1000 also has the familiar Pioneer CDJ looks with the beautiful brushed black finish and silver/nickel accents.
A few hours ago, I turned on the Stanton ST.150 turntables and the Traktor Z2 Mixer for another quick freestyle session featuring songs from my newest mixtape release; Blazing Cuts July 2014. Back at it once again, I had to get my camera rolling to give you a quick freestyle mixing session with some of my favorite tracks of this latest release. Every month I complete a quick freestyle DJ session while choosing songs from my newest Monthly Mixtape series called "DJ Blaze - Blazing Cuts". Check out my quick freestyle video session and download/stream my latest July 2014 mixtape after the jump
Pioneer has officially announced their brand new analog vinyl turntable called the PLX-1000. Earlier today, I turned on the Stanton T.120 turntables and the Custom Pioneer DJM-T1 Traktor Mixer for another quick freestyle session featuring songs from my newest mixtape release; Blazing Cuts June 2014. I am here in the second DJ room of my new residence in NJ and I had to get my camera rolling to give you a quick freestyle mixing session with some of my favorite tracks of this latest release. Watch the performance video then download & stream the mixtape inside.
My personal turntables of choice are the Stanton ST-150's and for very good reason. They have very high torque motors and they are built like tanks with a pretty solid track record to boot. The folks at the SAE Beat and Breaks Battle also share the same sentiments as the (straight-tonearm counterpart) Stanton STR8-150's will be used as their standard turntable for the National competitions this year.

As turntables and vinyl seem to be hitting a new strides with newfound success in the DJ and consumer markets; the manufacturers who create these turntables are giving users options for all budgets and performance levels. Reloop has introduced a new video to accompany their new Direct Drive Entry level turntables with USB connectivity (for transferring a vinyl music library to the computer) called the RP-2000USB. These aren't the powerhouse Super-OEM RP-6000/7000/8000, but they cost less than half of those models and they can still get the DJ-job done at a lower cost.
