Brand New Traktor Remix Sets Available Now

With the introduction of Traktor 2.5 last year, the Remix Decks are the new ways DJ's can perform like producers in real-time while beatmashing and remixing with different sounds, loops, and effects. The Remix Decks originally came with a few beginner Remix sets to get users started, but NI has made sure to keep releasing Fresh and New Remix Sets for users to play with all for a small fee. The five new Remix Sets in this latest release are available on Beatport and What People Play and contains sets from Fatboy Slim, Steve Aoki, Daniel Dexter, and more. Check out the press release and links after the jump.

Traktor Kontrol X1 MK2 Leaked?

Last week, (only a day after the Traktor Z1 was announced) the popular DJ Equipment website PSSL accidentally posted a new product by Native Instruments which appears to be the Traktor Kontrol X1 MK2. The original Traktor Kontrol X1 came out a few years ago and is commonly used by Traktor DJ's as a playback companion controller with DVS setups or other mixing consoles. The updated X1 has most of the same functions as the original with a few new additions including RGB backlit buttons for Remix Deck control, Flux Mode buttons, a Touch Sensitive Strip for beatmatching/nudging and much more.

The Blazing Cuts mixtape series is the tracks that I choose for a particular month of the hottest songs on DJbooth.net. Check out my quick freestyle session and download my latest mixtape after the jump.

[Review] Denon DJ SC2900 Mutli-Media Player

The Denon DJ SC2900 is the new jog-wheel based multi-media playback DJ device that shares almost all of the same features and functions of the Denon DJ SC3900 which we reviewed last year. The Denon DJ SC3900 was a definite success for DJ’s who wanted the closest vinyl-feel possible, but still gave the DJ options to play music using various forms of media or computer/tablet connectivity. It only makes sense that Denon would now focus its efforts on appeasing the DJ’s who want a CDJ-like jog wheel feel.
