The Numark NS7II professional Serato DJ controller was finally released a few short weeks ago and we've got a new unit on the way to the DJbooth.net Lab for a detailed video and written review. In the meantime, Numark has released a few tutorial videos for users and potential buyers to catch a glimpse of some of the advanced features found on this new Flagship controller. The Numark NS7II is being billed as the best controller ever built and with it comes the same motorized platters as the original and 16 velocity sensitive pads that correspond perfectly to the advanced features found in Serato DJ 1.5
The Serato team has just released the new Searto DJ 1.5.2 update which adds a list of bug-fixes, new DJ controller support, and the new iZotope FX Expansion Packs. This new update features scrollable FX drop-down menus, support for the Vestax VCI-100 MKII, Numark MixDeck Quad, and the brand new Pioneer DDJ-SB Serato DJ Intro controllers. The new Guitar Center superstore in Brooklyn, NYC hosted an event last month on October 24th to unveil a brand new 2500 square-foot section of the store that is completely dedicated to the Serato DJ experience. On hand to host the red-carpet event at the Brooklyn store was none other than world famous artist and DJ Biz Markie (pictured with the VP of Guitar Center). Those on hand at the event were able to use all of the different products in the Serato DJ lineup while also being able to chop it up with some other famous guests that happened to stop by.
Pioneer DJ has just announced that they will be releasing a new intermediate-level Digital DJ controller for their Serato lineup called the DDJ-SB. This new compact and USB-Powered controller has the familiar 16 Performance Pads, Slip-Mode, built-in Low Pass/High Pass filter knobs, and comes bundled with Serato DJ Intro for the excellent price of only $300.
Serato DJ 1.5 has now been released. This means that the era of Serato Scratch Live and Itch is coming to an end. Last month Serato announced that they would combine all of their Serato based DJ software into one software to rule them all which is known as the Serato DJ 1.5 release. The new release will now work with the new Pioneer DJM-900SRT, DDJ-SR, DDJ-SP1, and the Rane Sixty-Four. Of course all of the other Serato DJ controllers are also able to work with the new Serato DJ 1.5 and there's a few bug fixes and housekeeping items addressed in this update as well.
Pioneer DJ is steadily rolling out brand new products that work in perfect harmony with the new Serato DJ Software. Last week they unveiled the new Pioneer DJM-900SRT and the DDJ-SP1 that will work with the new Serato DJ 1.5.0 update and today they announced the new DDJ-SR which is a 2-channel Digital DJ controller that also controls the Serato DJ software. The Pioneer DDJ-SR is essentially a trimmed down two-deck version of the DDJ-SX which controls four decks of Serato DJ. The new DDJ-SR is more compact than the DDJ-SX and adds a new PAD PLUS button that gives the 16-performance pads even more function.
Pioneer DJ is really busy announcing new products lately! This time Pioneer announces the new DDJ-SP1 USB MIDI controller that is designed to work in conjunction with the new Serato DJ 1.5.0 software so users can trigger new effects and samples with the 16 velocity-sensitive performance pads, buttons, and knobs in a nice compact package.
Pioneer DJ has just announced a new Serato DJ 1.5.0 version of its existing DJM-900nexus Mixer called the DJM-900SRT. The new Pioneer DJM-900SRT will still retain all of the cool features of the 900nexus but with an internal Serato DJ Soundcard that is capable of Digital Vinyl Playback of up to four CD or vinyl timecode decks within the full new Serato DJ 1.5.0 software now with DVS control
