This new slimline MPC Studio has a brushed aluminum body, the same MPC pads everyone loves to perform with, and the latest edition of the same full MPC Music-Creation software that comes with the new flagship MPC Renaissance. Numark Acquires Sonivox For Virtual Instrument Technology

Numark and it's sister companies are positioning themselves to be the go-to company for everything that has to do with the manipulation, playback, and creation of music. The Jack O'Donnell group has now added Sonivox to their current lineup that consists of Numark, Akai Pro, Alesis, Alto Pro and ION Audio. The Sonivox acquisition means that the company now has an investment into Virtual Instrument Technology that is compatible with desktop's, laptop's, PC's, Mac's, iOS and many other devices. NAMM 2012 Video: Numark Akai MPC-DJ

Earlier in the week we brought you the story on a new prototype that found its way to the NAMM 2012 showroom floor. Today we have a full video rundown on this awesome prototype controller that fuses the worlds of the DJ with the production gurus. The MPC-DJ is basically a set of Numark V7's fused with a MIDI mixer with the world-famous 16 Akai MPC velocity pads that can be used for triggering samples, loops, sounds, cue points, or whatever else a DJ may have in store. NAMM 2012: Akai MPCDJ Controller

Ever wonder what would happen if the Akai MPC production unit were to be merged with a Digital DJ Controller? Well, wonder no more, as Akai and Numark has teamed up to bring you the all new MPCDJ which basically combines the 16 Famous MPC production pads with a mixing console and two Numark V7's attached to each side for an all-in-one DJ control solution. This type of product is very innovative and makes a lot of sense since DJ's often use programmable buttons for cue points, juggling, looping, sampling, drumming, and just about everything else under the sun. NAMM 2012: Akai MPC-FLY For iPad

Akai is hitting us with the one, two, three punch! Introducing the Akai MPC-Fly which is the newest music production station that is designed to work flawlessly with the Apple iPad. Music creators will be able to take an iPad running the MPC app and plug it into the MPC-Fly docking unit for full MPC-pad manipulation and production. The powerful MPC app will be responsible for mixing, sequencing, creating tracks and much more. While the MPC-Fly will add protection, 16 full-sized MPC pads, and portability to the iPad. NAMM 2012: Akai MPC Studio Revealed (Video)

Akai is seriously gearing up to go after any other manufacturers in the music production business (Native Instruments) with a full range of new competitive products that is sure to excite the music creators. The new MPC-Studio is the newest MPC studio production unit from Akai that is basically a bare-bones MPC system that is designed to work with any computer via USB. Users will get the same workflow system present in other MPC units, the same studio grade drum pads, and a nice one-inch-thin portable and aluminum body construction. Check the video inside.
