We reviewed the Hercules RMX 2 Digital DJ Controller over two years ago, but this new video by DJ Timm United lets everyone know that this compact and powerful controller can still rock the stage quite well. The Hercules RMX 2 has a solid metal chassis, velocity sensitive pads, and a true standalone mixer mode that can be used with external timecode turntables or CD decks for DVS playback. Epsilon continues to produce great DJ gear at a great cost with the release of its newest four-deck DJ controller called the Quad-Mix. The Quad-Mix is a very capable controller that comes bundled with VirtualDJ LE, has aluminum knobs, and has all the controls necessary for today’s DJ needs. The Serato team has just announced a new update to their free software that will allow owners of the newly released Korg Kaoss DJ Controller to use Serato DJ Intro with this new device. This means users can now download Serato DJ Intro 1.2.4 which will give users access to Serato features like sync, cue points, loops, library navigation, and more.
Hercules has recently announced its newest DJ controller in its lineup called the DJ Control Jogvision. This compact controller has a few things going for it that will make it stand out from the other Hercules offerings. The Hercules DJ Control Jogvision sports new metal top jog wheels with LED indicators for track feedback. The DJ Control Jogvision also comes bundled with Serato DJ Intro and has the cool “Air” motion sensor controls for effects and other functions.
Today’s NAMM 2015 show has been setting the internet on fire with announcements, but this one is the biggest yet… Numark has just unveiled its newest flagship controller the NS7III. In this newest version, the Numark NS7III has all the same features and layout of the NS7II controller we reviewed last year, but it also adds three new 4.3-inch full-color screens for full track and navigation information without the need to look at the laptop screen.
At today’s NAMM 2015 show, Numark is unleashing a slew of new products. The first product release of the day is the Numark Mixtrack III & Mixtrack Pro III entry-level DJ Intro controllers. The new versions of the Mixtrack have a new streamlined and simple layout. The new Mixtrack III’s have taller and higher resolution jog wheels, large 100mm pitch sliders, and a touch-sensitive strip above the jog wheels for effects and track scrolling/searching.
For the NAMM 2015 show, Denon DJ has announced its third new piece of equipment for the day which is the Denon MC4000 Serato Intro DJ controller. The new Denon DJ MC4000 controller will come bundled with Serato DJ, has a great metal chassis, two microphone inputs for Mobile DJ’s, and a compact footprint to easily transport and store when taking it on the go.
Many people have speculated that a new all-in-one Pioneer DJ Rekordbox player would eventually show up one day… That day is today as Pioneer DJ has just announced their new All-In-One XDJ-RX Rekordbox DJ system. The new system includes a full seven-inch color display which shows parallel waveforms, cue points, track information, and much more. The Pioneer XDJ-RX is a true two-channel standalone mixer, has two USB slots for multiple music sources, and can also be used as a DJ Controller for Traktor Pro 2.
The Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S8 is the latest and greatest DJ controller from NI that can operate as a completely Stand-Alone 4-channel mixer, has touch sensitive controls, high quality user-replaceable faders, and dual high resolution screens for all the Traktor information one could need without glancing at their laptop. The Remix decks controls replace the jog wheels and pitch sliders for each deck, so it may not be for everyone… Check out our review video to see our thoughts.
The biggest and most expensive Serato DJ controller on the market has just received the Gold treatment…literally. The flagship Pioneer DDJ-SZ controller is now available in Gold as the DDJ-SZ-N. This is the same exact DDJ-SZ controller that we reviewed a few months ago with a new color. Pioneer will only produce 1000 of these Gold DDJ-SZ-N controllers which will be available shortly at retailers across the globe for the cool price of $2200.
