Introducing the Sennheiser HD8 DJ, HD7 DJ, and HD6 MIX over the ear professional DJ and Studio headphones.
The Sennheiser Momentum On-Ear headphones sport a minimalistic design that is all business with a solid metal construction and top-tier materials used throughout. Although early on we realized that the Sennheiser Momentum On-Ear Headphones were not really suited for Professional DJ use, they do perform well with almost every other listening application or multimedia need due to great sound characteristics and a lightweight yet comfortable construction with soft Alcantara headband and earcups.
The Sennheiser HD 25 Aluminium headphones were created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Sennheiser HD 25 headphone superiority in the DJ and Professional audio realm. The new HD 25 Aluminium edition headphones sport aluminum earcups for more durability and slightly better sound characteristics.
Eclectic Breaks and the Pro X Fade advanced Crossfader have been out on the market for the last seven years, and within that time frame they have been known to produce a very high quality product for DJ's who want an upgrade to the heart and soul of their DJ mixer. The Pro X Fade crossfader is a solid and customizable fader that can be purchased and installed to upgrade your current crossfader found on a DJ Mixer. The Pro X Fade can work with many different mixers made by different manufacturers and the adjustments in tension and cut-in distance allows for an added layer of customization to the feel of a standard mixer.
Pioneer has recently released the new S-DJ X monitor lineup that is affordable and squarely aimed at DJ's who want good performance speakers with a small form factor. The Pioneer S-DJ X range comes in either the five-inch (S-DJ50X), the six-inch (S-DJ60X), or the eight-inch (S-DJ80X) woofer configurations and have an auto on/off mode to save on power when not in use. These speakers are powered internally by an AB amplifier and Pioneer says that the technology in the woofer design and front port found on these speakers improve air flow with “Groove Technology” for deep and vibrant bass. We now have a pair of S-DJ80X monitor speakers in the DJbooth Lab for the full review treatment so check out how they held up during our tests in the review below.
The Hercules Light Show DJ Headphones are nearly identical to the previously reviewed Hercules Pro M1001 headphones with the inclusion of internal lights on the outside of the ear cups that pulsate to the sound of the music. The lights are powered by an internal rechargeable battery which can be connected via USB to micro-USB cable when a refill is necessary. The Light Show headphones have a swivel and fold style design for the 50mm drivers that fit completely over-the-ears for good isolation.
