About two short years ago, we reviewed the Alto Professional TS speaker lineup and we were happy to report that these speakers were great performers for the money. Now the Alto Professional team expands its range with their new top-of-the-line speakers called the Black Series. The new Alto Professional Black series two-way speakers come in 10-inch, 12-inch, and 15-inch powered configurations and they all include wireless connectivity and an internal amplifier that's good for 1200 watts of continuous power.
A few short weeks ago, M-Audio has announced the release of their new three-way active studio monitors called the M3-6 (with a 6-inch woofer) and the M3-8 (with an 8-inch woofer). The new Pioneer S-DJ X lineup of monitor speakers were scattered all around the Pioneer DJ Booth at the 2013 Atlantic City DJ Expo and I was lucky enough to get a full video walk-through of the new speakers directly from the Pioneer staffers. The new affordable S-DJ X monitors come in 5-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch configurations and they sound nice and crisp in person.

This year, Pioneer has its entire new lineup of controllers, CDJ's, mixers, and speakers on-had for everyone to use and purchase. The new DJM-750 four-channel mixer was on display with a set of CDJ-850's. The platinum limited edition Nexus setup also made an appearance. The XDJ-R1, DDJ-SX, and S-DJ X speaker lineup were all setup and ready to go and we have an exclusive S-DJ X speaker walkthrough coming shortly.
Today, the Pioneer DJ group has announced the new S-DJ X monitor lineup that is affordable and squarely aimed at DJ's who want good performance speakers in a small form factor. The Pioneer S-DJ X range comes in either the five-inch (S-DJ50X), the six-inch (S-DJ60X), or the eight-inch (S-DJ80X) woofer configurations and have an auto on/off mode to save on power when not in use.
The Behringer team keeps expanding its speaker lineup and they continue with the newest subwoofer in the Eurolive lineup. The new B1200D is a 12-inch powered subwoofer with the internal 500 watt amplifier is on it's way to retail stores everywhere. We originally reviewed the Behringer Eurolive B1500D which is the 15-inch subwoofer version and we still use it for gigs and performances to this day. If the B1200D subwoofer is as good as its bigger sibling, then Behringer may have another (compact) winner on its hands. Check out the press release and original B1500D review inside.
