[Video] Scratch DJ Academy - Semester 10

The Scratch DJ Academy just celebrated their 10th Year Anniversary on January 15th, 2013 with heavy hitter DJ's such as DJ Qbert, ATRAK, and Kool Herc on hand in the NYC Scratch Academy to put their skills on display and show you what can be learned through the curriculum. The Scratch DJ Academy is the absolute best place to go if you want to learn how to DJ and produce music with hands-on experience, lessons, and advice directly from industry professionals and experts. [TVF] OnDaSpin With DJ Diamond

Turntablist Video Friday makes another rare appearance today and this time we're back once again with the third Webisode in the "On Da Spin" series with DJ Diamond. During this online series, there will be feature interviews along with other footage from known and unknown DJ's. Each webisode will showcase the DJ and gives them a chance to give their opinion and insight on their musical experiences. This third webisode features DJ Diamond getting busy on the 1's & 2's and he also gives a sick interview about the whole DJ Game! Peep the video after the jump.

[NAMM 2013] DJ Tech DIF-1S

DJ Tech made an appearance at this year's NAMM 2013 show in California and they brought with them a super-affordable and very capable 2-channel DJ mixer with a scratch-worthy Mini-Innofader at the crossfader position. This new mixer is known as the DJ Tech DIF-1S and for the low price of only $150 it's sure to turn heads amongst beginner DJ's and those looking for a back-up or additional compact but sturdy mixer to get their scratch on with. The DIF-1S is built on a solid metal chassis and is DVS system friendly as it comes with a dedicated Timecode switch on each channel which allows seamless changeover between timecode DVS systems with no interruption to the music. [Turntablist Video Friday] DJ IZOH’s DMC World 2012

The DMC World Championships has always been the biggest and most recognized DJ battle championships all over the world, with DJ's who take top-honors being remembered and admired for years and years to come. Last year at the 2012 DMC World Championships, DJ Izoh from Japan emerged as the World Champion with this amazing 6-minute set which shows a bit of everything in the world of Turntablism... DJ Shiftee is back at it again but this time he's got even more Native Instruments goodness to show us all. This latest video shows DJ Shiftee ripping it up on the Traktor Kontrol Z2 along side his all gold Technics 1200's and the gold Maschine MK2. DJ Shiftee does it all from scratching, to juggling, to drumming and never skips a beat in the process. Check out this cool new performance video, then head out and get your own Z2 and/or Maschine in time for the holidays!

[Video] Studio Scratches Newest Release

I always love a nice, clean, and crisp scratching performance and the peeps over at Studio Scratches seem to always get it right. Check out this new turntablist performance (or practice video as they call it) which is labeled Studio Scratches Glow In The Dark Cuts. They note that the audio is raw - straight out the speakers and picked up by the camera mic, so not the best quality but its all live and direct with no type of editing trickery...Watch the video after the jump.

The Traktor Kontrol Z2 is finally upon us and my review unit is steadily on its way to the lab for our full-out and extremely-detailed HD-Video review. The unboxing video will make it's way to you first, so stay tuned. In the meantime, Native Instruments finally decided to let DJ Craze put some of his turntablist wizardry to work on the new Traktor Kontrol Z2 and the results are excellent!
