Virtual DJ has been making waves among Digital Vinyl users recently when they announced that their new algorithm for their DVS engine is as good as any other software out there and they’ve been challenging DJ’s to see if they can break it. Atomix has started a new video web series called Power Room that will feature Virtual DJ being used and abused by some of the best DJ’s around. In this third Episode, the Atomix team take the Virtual DJ DVS setup to South Carolina to see DJ Eyecon to see his impressions of the new DVS engine in VDJ 8.
We recently reviewed the new Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S8 which is a very powerful DJ controller for Traktor while also working as a DVS enabled mixer for external turntables and CDJ style control. The legendary DJ Shiftee has just completed a pretty sick turntable timecode DVS performance along with using some of the new cool features on the Traktor Kontrol S8 such as Freeze Mode. Check out this dope performance video to see what’s possible with the new S8.
DJ Jazzy Jeff is one of the best DJ’s in the World and one of the main reasons I started spinning on the turntables in the first place. Serato has always been supportive of the World Traveling (Vinyl Destination) DJ and they decided to invite him out to Auckland for a quick interview and for a video of the famous Peter Piper Routine. Check out these videos after the jump.
We reviewed the Hercules RMX 2 Digital DJ Controller over two years ago, but this new video by DJ Timm United lets everyone know that this compact and powerful controller can still rock the stage quite well. The Hercules RMX 2 has a solid metal chassis, velocity sensitive pads, and a true standalone mixer mode that can be used with external timecode turntables or CD decks for DVS playback. Check out our full video and written reviews of the Hercules DJConsole RMX 2 then watch DJ Timm get busy.

Epsilon is a new DJ and Lighting company and they recently release a new starter DJ package for only $799 that includes two brand new Super-OEM professional quality turntables and a two-channel DJ mixer with a built in Mini-Innofader crossfader for good cuts and smooth mixing.
