Pioneer has officially announced their brand new analog vinyl turntable called the PLX-1000. This new Turntable by has most of the original layout of the iconic Technics 1200's that DJ's are familiar with along with some Super-OEM DNA and other minor improvements and adjustments to set it apart from the rest of the pack. The PLX-1000 also has the familiar Pioneer CDJ looks with the beautiful brushed black finish and silver/nickel accents.
The Numark NS7II Serato DJ controller is one of our favorite DJ controllers here at DJbooth.net due to its actively spinning platter and real vinyl feel and the cool MPC Pro Pads to control other features. In this new video, the DJ performs a pad and scratch routine on the NS7II and Serato DJ using the touch sensitive controls, genuine MPC pads, and those beautiful motorized platters.
My personal turntables of choice are the Stanton ST-150's and for very good reason. They have very high torque motors and they are built like tanks with a pretty solid track record to boot. The folks at the SAE Beat and Breaks Battle also share the same sentiments as the (straight-tonearm counterpart) Stanton STR8-150's will be used as their standard turntable for the National competitions this year.
The One DJ software 1.6 update has now been released and with it comes an extraordinary performance by Famous DJ Rasp from the UK. Rasp has been known to put it down on the turntables in turntablist competitions, but today he exercises his controllerist side on the brand new One DJ software 1.6 and the Vestax VCI-400. Check out the video of Rasp showcasing The One DJ software timeline & live mode together in an innovative DJ Routine after the jump.
The Reloop Terminal Mix 8 is a great Four-Deck Digital DJ controller with excellent build quality, smooth-oversized jog wheels, and the familiar Serato Performance Pad sections that control popular features like hot cues, loops, slicer, and sampler. The Terminal Mix 8 also comes bundled with the full Serato DJ software that unlocks all of the potential of this powerful controller straight out of the box. Our review of the TM8 was well received and now Reloop teams up with DJ Cable to show the masses how to put it down Trap style on the TM8!

The new Mixvibes Cross DVS package comes with the Mixvibes timecode vinyl and the powerful Mixvibes software in order to get started. As turntables and vinyl seem to be hitting a new strides with newfound success in the DJ and consumer markets; the manufacturers who create these turntables are giving users options for all budgets and performance levels. Reloop has introduced a new video to accompany their new Direct Drive Entry level turntables with USB connectivity (for transferring a vinyl music library to the computer) called the RP-2000USB. These aren't the powerhouse Super-OEM RP-6000/7000/8000, but they cost less than half of those models and they can still get the DJ-job done at a lower cost.
Many DJ's and turntablists who use vinyl will be very excited about this new product... The new company called Kutmarks have come out with some reusable vinyl labels in many different styles that can be attached and reattached to vinyl over and over again. The cool new Kutmarks labels all have good markings so that scratch DJ's can remember their places while pulling off turntablist tricks and juggles.
