[Video] Native Instruments: Hello Tokyo! Launch Party

Native Instruments has finally opened its offices in Tokyo, Japan in order to maintain an active presence in the booming music industry of the country. In celebration of the new location, Native Instruments held a Hello Tokyo! Launch Party at Womb (Tokyo's premier nightclub) right in Japan. Amongst the guests were the CEO of Native Instruments, Daniel Haver, along with top DJ's Jamie Jones, Darren Price, DJ Craze, Baku, Kaito and other leading Japanese artists. [Review] Marshall Monitor Headphones

The Legendary guitar amp company Marshall revisits the drawing board for their headphone lineup and delivered a high quality headphone that is sure to please every day music enthusiasts as well as delivering on many features that DJ’s need. They’ve come up with their new premier model of headphones called the Marshall Monitor which sports a set of heavy-duty-metal folding hinges, over-the-ear 40mm driver design, and an additional headphone input port on both earcups to share the music with a friend. The Numark Mixtrack Pro II is a great controllers for beginner DJ's or for those who want a minimal setup in a small and lightweight package. We recently reviewed the Numark Mixtrack Pro II and we really appreciated the new sleek look and 16 Performance pads. Now Numark has uploaded a new Tutorial video showing users the low-profile platters, transport/browser controls, secondary functions using shift button, Mixer, and the crossfader. [Video] Denon SC2900 Unboxing & First Impressions

Last week, Denon DJ has announced the new update V.1.1.0 of their new Engine software which will make for a more enjoyable experience when using it in conjunction with the SC2900 and SC3900 Multi-Media players. Hot off the heels of the announcement, Denon has sent us a new Denon SC2900 for a full written and HD-Video review. The SC2900 is essentially the jog-wheel version of their SC3900 Multi-Media player which has an actively spinning platter with a true vinyl feel. The jog wheel has a multi-color LED ring around it to give the DJ key indicators during playback. The SC2900 has four on-board hot cue buttons, loop controls, separate start/stop adjustment knobs, Slip-Mode, and easy to use browsing controls. 2013 Boom DJ Battle

This year's 2013 Boom DJ Battle promises to be a great event for DJ's or anyone who loves music and simply wants to have a great time. The Boom DJ Battle is the country's largest under 21 DJ competition that has the top young DJ talent all over the country compete against one another for Boom DJ Supremacy. The registration for the contest is now open to all DJ's ages 14-21 with registration closing on Thursday May 30th. Finalists will be chosen on June 3rd and the final competition and other festivities will be held at Toyota park on June 15th 2013 at the B96 Pepsi Summer Bash. Details inside.
