Out Now: Marshall Major II Headphones

Two full years ago, we reviewed the Marshall Major Headphones which we liked for their minimal on-the-ear profile, clear sound, and a nice comfortable fit on the head.  The new Marshall Major II headphones have now been announced and they take all of the good features from the original headphones while adding a few new features to make them a better overall set of cans.

Audio-Technica ATH-M70x Headphones [Video]

The new Flagship Audio-Technica ATH-M70X monitoring headphones which were announced last month at NAMM 2015 are out now and available for sale at your local retailers for $300.  The new ATH-M70X separate themselves from the ATH-M50X headphones by offering proprietary 45mm (over-the-ear) drivers that are capable of delivering a wide range of sound, metal reinforcement in the construction, and the ability to swivel the earcups 90-degrees for one-ear monitoring situations.  Check out this video by our partners AMS to see what the ATH-M70X are all about.

[Review] AIAIAI TMA-1 Ghostly Edition Headphones

AIAIAI has collaborated with Ghostly International to produce a new edition of the famous TMA-1 DJ Headphones.  The Ghostly Edition TMA-1 headphones look very similar to the other models we tested, but these have a custom driver/cup pairing for a new, signature sound, as well as a woven black cable.  The Ghostly Edition TMA-1 headphones have Japanese Memory Foam and Morocco Leather for the headband and earpads for superior comfort and isolation.

NAMM 2015: Audio-Technica ATH-M70x Headphones

In a surprise move, Audio-Technica has unveiled their newest flagship model DJ/Production headphones that are even a notch above their iconic ATH-M50x Headphones that we reviewed last year.  The Audio-Technica ATH-M70x headphones have proprietary 45mm (over-the-ear) drivers that are capable of delivering a wide range of sound, metal reinforcement in the construction, and the ability to swivel the earcups 90-degrees for one-ear monitoring situations.

NAMM 2015: Denon DJ MC4000 Controller

For the NAMM 2015 show, Denon DJ has announced its third new piece of equipment for the day which is the Denon MC4000 Serato Intro DJ controller.  The new Denon DJ MC4000 controller will come bundled with Serato DJ, has a great metal chassis, two microphone inputs for Mobile DJ’s, and a compact footprint to easily transport and store when taking it on the go.

NAMM 2015: Denon HP2000 Headphones

Denon DJ is at this year’s NAMM 2015 show in a big way.  Their second release of the day is the new Denon HP2000 Professional Over-The-Ear DJ headphones. The new Denon HP2000 headphones have huge 50mm drivers for deep bass, metal reinforced construction for durability, a removable/replaceable cable, and swiveling earcups that allow one ear monitoring for those beatmatching duties.

NAMM 2015: Pioneer HDJ-2000MK2 Headphones [Video]

Pioneer DJ has just announced the new HDJ-2000MK2 flagship DJ headphones just in time for this year’s NAMM show.  The Pioneer HDJ-2000MK2 headphones have been upgraded from the original HDJ-2000 headphones with sleeker styling, better sound quality, and better isolation for Professional DJ’s who need a good monitoring experience in the DJbooth.

NAMM 2015: Pioneer HRM-7 Studio Headphones [Video]

NAMM is here and so is the new gear!  Pioneer has announced the new HRM-7 Studio Monitor headphones that incorporate HD drivers for “high-resolution” audio quality that’s suited for home and professional studio use.  The Pioneer HRM-7 Headphones feature 40mm, a dual chamber bass reflex enclosure for deep bass, and comfortable and isolating memory-foam velour ear pads.
