Best Remix Record of 2008
Reader's Pick:
Lil Wayne ft. Kanye West – Lollipop
Despite the tremendous success of “Lollipop,” there were those who decried the chart-smashing single as evidence Wayne was moving in a more mainstream, less lyrically-driven direction. On the record's remix, Weezy set out to prove the naysayers wrong, enlisting Kanye West for a guest verse and even spitting sans Auto-Tune on the back end.
Runner Up:
NERD ft. Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco & Pusha T – Everyone Nose
DJ Booth Staff Pick:
Rich Boy ft. John Legend, Lil Wayne & Nas – Ghetto Rich

Ha, I remember what I voted here. Nas and Wayne's verses were 10x better than this song right here (though this remix > the original, I didn't like that). So I disagree with THIS win.

Agree with Macli, I thought the NERD remix was best in this category, though the remix of Lollipop was pretty sweet to.

@ Mr.Top Hat - yes, he did. But the song didn't get much more REMIX than that...
NERD's song was real tight... that could have won too and I wouldn't have thought a thing of it.

i thought Kanye killed it and made this song remix of the year. I voted love in this club rmx tho, i thought usher, beyonce and wayne all killed it on that song.

Never really felt the original so I agree with this one if you look at the difference in content from the original to the remix. Original has a fresh beat but no lyrics. Kanye added his lyrics and killed it on the remix!

Lollipop Remix was better and the verses were much more likeable, but I voted for that Rich Boy "Ghetto Rich". With Nas and Weezy on there, it was a great remix, it did get overlooked by people though, but that was a great remix. "Love In This Club" was another that was great, I liked Soundz production and the chemistry between Beyonce and Usher sounded great, then to finish with a lovey dovey verse by Wayne. That was a solid one too, so I think either of those two should have won.
