The-Dream ft. Rick Ross, Fabolous, Juelz Santana, & Ludacris – Rockin That Thang

'08 Best of the Booth winner The-Dream came through with this year's number-one remix, enlisting Rick Ross, Fabolous, Juelz Santana and Ludacris to put a star-studded spin on Love Vs. Money's LOS Da Mystro-produced lead single, “Rockin' That Thang.” The headliner ended up on the sidelines for much of this revamp but, with this kind of guest muscle, Booth readers weren't complaining.

Staff Pick

Consequence ft. Kanye West, Common, Big Sean, Kid Cudi & John Legend - Whatever U Want Artwork

Consequence ft. Kanye West, Common, Big Sean, Kid Cudi & John Legend - Whatever U Want

With all due respect to The-Dream (who killed his remix), we had to give this one to Consequence and his all-star roster of track mates on "Whatever You Want (Remix)". Bigger is not always better, but in this case you can never go wrong with Cons plus Kanye plus Common, and then throw Big Sean, Cudi and John Legend on top? That's just ridiculous, insane, hip-hop goodness, and a line-up that all but ensured a Best of the Booth award.

I definitely like the Runner up better here. Blame it has to be one of those tracks that was so big everyone is Blaming alcohol for something or another. Consequence song was aight. Not a big fan. Rockin' that thang got old very quick for me.

This is where I like the staff pick better than the users' one...GOOD Music is on the COME-UP baby! With a line-up like that, how can you dispute it?

The Cons record was solid - how can you beat that all star lineup?

Ahhh... such a good feeling to see the one you voted for WINS!!!

The reason I assume it won is - nobody pretty much cared for the Original, but the Remix is bananas!!! Ludacris, Fabolous, Juelz Santana and Rick Ross all contribute top-notch rhymes over The-Dream’s sweat storm of a synth line with devastating results. No other remix/track in '09 made me say this - RnB and hip-hop does not, I repeat, does not get much better than this!

Luda's verse = Rappers take notes dats how you spit game to the ladies!

@Mr. Top Hat- i feel ya on that good feelin. i was startin to think that no song i voted for was goin to win.

i think this won cuz it was the only remix that even made an impact on t.v. or radio.

When I voted for remix, I took into account what the original sounded like. In order to get my vote, the remix had to not only match the original but surpass it. I don't believe "Whatever U Like" did this; it felt far less coherent than the original did. However, "Rockin' That Thang"'s remix easily outshines the original. Luda does his thing. That's all I can say.

"Whatever You Want" remix was my favourite of the year. All of the artists, though they had some pretty different styles, blended into the track perfectly.

I dont agree with this choice...I thought the two best were the Whatever U Want remix and Xv's mirror's edge (benzi remix). They were both alot better than Rockin that Thang remix, in my opinion.

I liked the 'Throw it in the bag' remix with Drizzy but I don't think that was an option.

I have to disagree with the Staff pick and the peeps. Both of these track are very weak in my opinion.
If i had to choose one; I just rather go get a drink at the bar.
Sorry but that's my opinion.
