Best Club Anthem of 2010

Usher ft. will.i.am - OMG

Though Usher's decision to release a text-lingo themed single made some LOL and had others STH (translation: shaking their heads) when it first hit our homepage, Raymond v. Raymond lead single OMG turned out to be an epic win for the R&B megastar, becoming his ninth U.S. Billboard Chart-topper. Spawning a hit video and an earth-shaking VMA performance, the will.i.am-assisted banger was one of the year's most ubiquitous club jams. Raymond IV FTW!

Staff Pick

Drake - Over Artwork

Drake - Over

While Booth readers were IMing their friends about OMG, we were spinning the lead single off a certain Toronto hitmaker's debut set, “Over”... and over... and over. Backed by Boi-1da's lush orchestral pomp, the Thank Me Later smash marked a milestone in Drake's ascent to club royalty, paving the way for many bangers to come. To quote the man himself, “It's far from over.

The club scene must be completely different in the US because theirs no way Over or No Love would get spins over here. Even though I hated OMG, it was definately a great club track

1.OMG
2.My Chick Bad
3.Ride
4.No Love
5.Over
6.Miss Me
7.Sex Room
8.Right Above It

Once again the DJBooth dissapoints me. Year after year I see terrible nominees for club anthem of the year. I don't know if its because none of the staff attends clubs or they just don't understand what a club anthem is. Other than my top 3, I don't see how any of those songs belong on the list over:

Down On Me
Dynamite
Hello, Good Morning
Only Girl (In The World)
Letting Go
The Club Can't Handle Me

Thinking strictly club-wise, OMG is the clear winner.

joshL,

Our criteria includes reader ratings and site categories. All nominees were in the "Club" category...Also, average & total ratings are factors, some weren't high enough.

Though both are cool, I will say Ursh's got the advantage here.

Nooooo... OMG I hate this track. I can't deny that it was one of the most played tracks of 2010. joshL has a serious point. Many of the tracks he lists top OMG with ease

Over bangs in NYC clubs, not sure about other places. A skilled DJ can drop that and make the crowd go nuts.
