Best Club Anthem of 2009

Reader Pick   Staff Pick
Birdman ft. Lil Wayne & Drake - Money to Blow   Pitbull - Hotel Room Service
Birdman ft. Lil Wayne & Drake - Money to Blow   Pitbull - Hotel Room Service
In spite (or because?) of ongoing economic hardships, cash-crazy club anthems were as popular as ever in 2009 – needless to say, we all wished we had a little extra “Money to Blow.” On the second single off Pricele$$, Cash Money head honcho Birdman joined forces with his adopted son and Young Money MVP Drake to craft a synth-banging, Drumma Boy produced track that kept dancefloors packed during the year's final months.

Runner Up:
Ludacris ft. Shawnna - How Low (Can You Go)
After much discussion we had to go with Pitbull's "Hotel Room Service" for the Club Anthem of the year for one simple reason - personal experience. Seemingly every DJ in the country saved "Hotel Room Service" until the night was at its most fevered pitch, and every time the track came on, in every club we were at, the crowd went absolutely bananas, just lost their minds. When a track inspires that much dancing/drinking/grinding, it's more than worthy of a Best of the Booth award.

Truest line of '09 goes to Lil' Wayne's closer "And we gonna be alright if we got Drake on every hook."

WTF? I thought "Right Round" had it on lock.

My Picks for Top 5 Club Bangers of '09

1. Right Round
2. Boom Boom Pow (Remix)
3. Blame It On Alcohol
4. Hotel Room Service
5. How Low

You don't expect me to make a "Best of ___" list without including LUDA! in between somewhere ???

bad choice by readers. i couldve got w/almost any song but this one. i voted Youre A Jerk jus cuz that song got the clubs goin the craziest when i was there. also was the biggest at house parties.

i think no one voted Youre A Jerk cuz it wasnt as good. however, this song had the biggest impact at clubs.

I didn't even realize "Money to Blow" was played in the clubs...

How Low (Can You Go) or Right Round should have taken this one.

I'm with Top Hat, I thought "Right, Round" would've had it. Damn. "Money To Blow"? Really? Didn't see that coming at all.

Now this is a joke, neither of the deserving tracks got picked as the staff or readers choice. Right Round & Calle Ouche were the 2 biggest club songs of the year & if you dont agree, then you obviously dont go out to the clubs to the extent that I do.
