NYC phenom Yonas has come together with The DJBooth, 2DopeBoyz and GoodMusicAllDay to bring listeners his latest street release, The Transition. Intended to mark the entrance into a new stage of his career, the project comprises 15 original records from the longtime reader fave. Included are previously-released songs "Drive It Like It's Stolen," "One More Time," "Wanna Be Loved," "Midnight City," "Can't Knock Me Down" and "Pumped Up Kicks" (which has garnered 2 million Youtube views to date). Joining Yonas on the guest tip throughout The Transition are Logic, Brother Ali, DJ Corbett and Scotty James. In addition to boardwork by Yonas himself, the project features production by Glitch Mob, Sean Ross and more.

When it comes to a new Yonas release, you can already expect to floored. There's something incredible about his ability to leave you saying "there's no way it can get better than that last one" after EVERY SINGLE TRACK. If you keep up with Yonas for the next 20 years, I promise you won't be let down. He puts every piece of himself into everything he does, and The Transition is no exception to this essential rule. There's not a single rapper out there who can come close to the content that Yonas is streaming, and it's best that none try, because he would most certainly leave them in a haze of his tail lights. Bravo. Truly a masterpiece.

Damnn YONAS don't disapoint but this project was a little too electro in some of the songs. It's cool tho. Nice music.

More radio friendly than my favorite Yonas tracks (Mindless, fall back, "I could",...etc) but still very dope music. I love the beat on "Feels right" and the flow of "Paradise (freestyle)". I won't event speak about M83's "midnight city" or "Pumped Up Kicks". This is simply dopeness.
