UPDATE: Wiz returns with the No DJ version of Cabin Fever 2.
With his sophomore full-length, O.N.I.F.C., scheduled to hit shelves December 4, Taylor Gang/Rostrum heavyweight Wiz Khalifa is tiding fans over with the DJ Holiday-hosted Cabin Fever 2, the sequel to his hit 2011 street album. The project comprises 14 tracks' worth of original material from the Pittsburgh representative, and features guest appearances from such artists as Chevy Woods, French Montana, Juicy J, IAMSU and Problem. Notable producers include ID Labs, Cozmo and Sledgren.

The production is sizzling, but the rhymes and the hooks on most of these songs is disappointing and bordering on slightly wack. Wiz can actually rap, but he vastly dumbs down his lyrics. I know Wiz fans will like whatever he releases regardless, but I hold him to a bit of a higher standard.

Although he made it just to tide everyone over until December, it's still good work. Classic Wiz, all about weed, drinking, and his millions; he still manages to keep each track sounding different from the rest though. 100 Bottles, Stu, and MIA are good examples of the more unique sounding tracks and some of my favorites as well. I especially liked Juicy's and Problem's features too. All around good sound, can't wait for O.N.I.F.C.
