DMV rhymesayer Roy Murci has come together with The DJBooth to bring listeners his official debut street release, the Crown Royal LP.
A conceptual project inspired by the recent works of KiD CuDi, The Throne, Black Hippy and Lupe Fiasco, the set comprises 13 original records from the Maryland representative. Included are reader-approved singles "n.W.o." and "Piece of Mind." In addition to the vocals of Lo'Quis, who appears on all but three tracks, Crown Royal features appearances by Royal and Prince Aleem. All beats come courtesy of production crew The Fresh Republic.

The first one.. I liked it alot. He came out of nowhere plus the beat had a nice western feel. Every single track has its own different original style. His flow is fantastic and I love how he had different mixes of genres within his tracks. Roy Murci just earned a new fan.

Not much I can really say about this project other than wow. Roy Murci completely came out of nowhere, but I'm now a fan. Gonna have this on repeat for the rest of the week. I personally enjoyed "Dreamcatcher" and "Slow," but quite frankly each and every track was unique in its own way. Highly recommend downloading this tape. Awesome job!

I love it, Roy Murci uses a wide variety of intriguing beats that draw in the listener. His verses aren't the tightest ever but he makes great music so that doesn't matter.
