Rising R&B singer/songwriter Matt Patterson has come together with The DJBooth to bring listeners his latest digital release, the Back in Business FreEP.
The project features six brand new records from the Rockaway Beach, Queens resident, including reader-approved lead single "Let Em Talk." All production on the project comes courtesy of KQuick, who also makes the sole guest appearance on the set.

Matt explains his artistic development with his sophomore effort: "To me this project means progress. If you listen to my debut project and compare it to Back In Business, it's impossible to not see my growth as an artist in everything from the songwriting to the vocals to the ad-libs." I think this project makes it clear that I'm here, I do this, and I'm not going anywhere. That's something I'm proud of.
When asked why he chose to work exclusively with producer KQuick on Back In Business, Matt explains: "The studio chemistry between the two of us is money. Seeing him make these elaborate beats from scratch never ceases to amaze me. Being there from the first chord to the beats' completion lets me really take control of the song's direction and it's sound. Not to mention KQuick is also an incredibly talented vocal producer and engineer." |

This project means there's more in the works, once the videos catch fire I wouldn't doubt him being R&B spotlighted in The Source. Straight talent and vocals.

This project is amazing, Pattersons voice and talent are something to be noticed, the chemistry between him and KQuick productions are outstanding. If you want a fresh new style of music look no further. Follow this man right here because it can only get better.

Matts voice has grown over time and he is really making amazing music. His productions with Kquick mesh so perfectly, two musical genuines for sure. Whats also great is that he appeals to both male and female audiences. No doubt that he sounds amazing on the track and his live performances are definitely where its at. The kid kills it. A rising star for sure. Keep it up mattt patttttt.. the kid is money.

 Lovely voice but wish his lyrics had more substance. Great club/radio hits but I'm looking for the hits that go harder that the airwaves.

I discovered him with Let'em talk here and I really like his talent, this EP is another proof of his talent. Really nice productions by KQuick, it's musical pleasure moment. Good job Matt!

Really a unique voice, very different from any singer you really hear nowadays. The production is insane on this and the biggest quality Matt has as an artist is the fact that none of his songs sound the same. Every track brings something different which taps into his vocals and has lyrics that we can all relate too. Outstanding work.
