Rap veteran Fabolous returns to the DJBooth, once again on Thanksgiving day, with a follow-up to last year's The S.O.U.L. Tape. On the appropriately-titled new mixtape The S.O.U.L. Tape 2 the Brooklyn native is joined by guests J. Cole, Joe Budden, Pusha T, Teyana Taylor, Troy Ave, Wale and more. Previously-featured tracks include the StreetRunner-produced "For The Love."
While discussing the new tape, Fab explained "[It's] different from some of the other music that I normally do or put out through my other releases. We kept the vibe and the music kind of soulful, sample-influenced. This one, I think I have a little bit more…"
Fabolous plans to release his sixth studio album, Loso's Way 2: Rise to Power, sometime in early 2013.

Didn't think it was possible to top the Soul Tape, but Fabolous did it. I'm very impressed with this tape. The tape as a whole sounds great, but my favorite track is "Beauty." Fabolous is a beast at making music, that is for damn sure!

Sara j.. thats a producer manager tho right? she gets prod credit for getting placements? messed up.. "we get high" is great. not really too many other stand out cuts here though. is that wale or a rick ross impersonator on "beauty" ?

Wow... Fabolous killed it, his beats were great, nothing was similar. His verses were well structured. The beats were well structure. It's just a great mix tape. For The Love is just glorious and a great second track that is almost carefree. B.I.T.E. is a great part of the mix tape with tight verses. I've heard the sample from We Get High used before but Fabolous has by far done the best with it. Diamonds is a massive improvement on the charty Rihanna song. Guess Who's Bizzack always makes me smile, I don't even know why. Louis Vuitton is a catchy tune. Life Is So Exciting has a killer sample. Finally Beauty has a lovely rich sound to it. Overall this is just a great mix tape filled with tunes.

I dont know why he hasn't put out an album in so long, but maybe it's a good thing because these tapes are Loso at his best.
